According to my LMP, I'm 5w 2d. I haven't really had any symptoms so far, beside sore boobs (that have since stopped hurting), tired in the afternoon, and light cramping. Is this normal? I'm hoping that I just might have an easy pregnancy. My first doc appt is Feb 6. Anyone else?

It was fairly easy. One problem I did have throughout pregnancy and even for a bit after delivery was lower back cramps. It wasn't out of this world painful but it was uncomfortable and I didn't want to take anything. That was really about it, though.

@Tatum:  That makes me feel SO much better. I have been a bit worried that this might not be normal. Thanks! :)

Fingers crossed for you!  I didn't start feeling really crappy till around 8wks, but I know some people hardly know they're PG.

I think that's really normal for as early on as you are.  Like you, I was mostly just tired, and my boobs weren't really even that sore around that time.  I had some food aversions right around my BFP, but nothing bad.  My nausea didn't kick in until sometime around 6 weeks, but probably peaked around 10 weeks, and backed off from there.  I consider myself lucky that I didn't ever throw up!

I have a good friend who was only a little more tired than normal, and an increased sense of smell during her first tri though!

Hopefully you are just lucky :) but it might just be a matter of time til a few more things pop up!

I did.  I had sore boobs from 5 weeks on and some pretty intense hunger from 5-12 weeks.  I literally only had a few days of nausea (never vomited) but nothing bad....and I was not really THAT tired.  I was more tired, but not terrible.  I had some gas and bloating, too.  All in all it was an easy first trimester!  I'm 22 weeks along now with a healthy baby boy : )

As you probably know, 5 weeks is still really early and there is plennnnty of time for you to get other symptoms!

    @inspiredcreationsbyhaley:  Thanks :)

@MerryC:  So, basically I should stop worrying, huh? It's so hard not to over-analyze every little thing!

@winniewolf:  Thanks, winnie wolf. I think I need to take a break and stop analyzing every single thing!

I did. I was a bit tired, bloated and gassy. I also sometimes had random aversions to things and my sense of smell was amazing, but I wasn't particularly sick or anything. I was fine. Like others have said though 5wks is very early yet.

Other than sore boobs, I had no other symptoms. Actually, at around 8 weeks I started having some cramping, which is normal. It worried me because everyone else had seemed to have all sorts of things going on, but my symptoms were pretty mild.

I'm technically still in the 1st tri at 12 weeks, but so far, so good :)  Here's my symptoms:

wks 4-6: light cramping, sore boobs, tired

wks 6-10: sore boobs, tired, mild heartburn at night

    wks 10-12: sore boobs, tired

So really I'm just tired all the time, other than that things have been pretty easy.  Good luck to you, hopefully you won't get morning sickness either!

@chastenet:  Thank you. I have literally been over-analyzing every little thing wondering why I don't have the "classic" symptoms. Obviously, each pregnancy is different!

    Thanks, ladies!

@MerryC:  My nausea's been around since 6-7 weeks and still going strong right now. I'm still super tired. I've had some spotting which seems to be from a friable cervix. Right now, I live off of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, bananas, and grapes. My husband's getting me some new eggs for hardboiled eggs. I need more peanut butter too since I've almost depleted my jar of it. I need more protein right now, but even chicken doesn't look all that desirable right now.

I was almost identical to winniewolf. A tiny bit of nausea for a couple days with no vomiting, sore boobs, bloating and fatigue and I was very hungry all the time.

I'm 31 weeks now and have had few issues even now that I am in my 3rd trimester. Doctor says I am textbook. :)

I had a completely easy first trimester, 2nd and 3rd.  My first tri I woulldn't even have known I was pregnant if I hadn't taken a test!  It worried me at first too, but then just realized that I was lucky!

To give you some (more) anxiety relief - super easy first tri here too. I started with sore boobs and fatigue. Then got super hungry all the time. Only threw up twice (I think the baby was just trying to show me there was nothing in my tummy and she was hungry). Mild nausea started around week 11, but no throwing up. Nothing some saltines and ginger ale couldn't fix.

I had a very easy entire pregancy. I only threw up once (but I think it was due to food not pregnancy) and only experienced the regular soreness/fatigue. Towards the end I had some sciatic pain.

I don't get sick very easily so perhaps that had something to do with it, also my grandmother and mother both said they never had very many pregnancy symptoms so maybe part of it is genetic as well.

I felt great and had a huge appetite until I hit 6 weeks. From weeks 6-18 I was sicker than I've ever been in my entire life and lost weight. It finally went away and my second tri was wonderful--I gained 10 lbs. over the holidays because food finally tasted good again! Now in my 30th week I'm feeling queasy again, just a little bit only at night. Everyone is different, but you're a little early to know if you'll be sick or not. Here's to hoping you have a lovely, easy first tri :)

5 weeks is still really early to tell how the entire first trimester will be. Most people develop the worst of their symptoms from week 6-11

Isn't it funny how we all want to feel the pregnancy symptoms to actually know we're pregnant, but then they're so darn yucky we want them to go away again!

Like the others, I had a very easy first trimester - only got sick one day which I think was due to a stomach bug, not morning sickness, as it lasted for 12 hours and was the only time I ever felt nauseous.  I had sore boobs and cramps as my only symptoms - no bloating, no weight gain, no nausea, etc.  I constantly wondered if I was actually pregnant!

I'm currently 19 weeks (tomorrow!) and am still having a pretty easy pregnancy, touch wood it continues like this!   My mom had extremely easy pregnancies with all three of us and I do believe there is a genetic connection.

So rest assured, you are completely normal!  25% of women don't experience any morning sickness at all, so fingers crossed you are in that lucky quartile and have a happy and healthy nine months! :-)

I don't want to burst your bubble, but I also felt fine around 5 weeks.  Right before my 6th week of pregnancy the nausea and other symptoms hit me hard, and I've had quite a difficult pregnancy since then with morning sickness that never went away.  I hope for your sake that you continue having light or no symptoms.  It's much easier that way!

@eryepye:  6 weeks was a tipping point for me too. I remember that I was hitting like normal and everything. Then, boom, my nausea and morning sickness creeped in. It's been difficult to eat or want to eat since. I get the weirdest food desires though. Last Friday, I just wanted eggrolls for dinner. Just eggrolls. I got it and was satisfied. Right now, I'm waiting for my husband to get home and bring White Castle. Little buns of protein! I'm also desiring Tyson chicken nuggets to eat because they're small and will satisfy. I feel like I reverted back to super comfort foods.

Both of my pregnancies were really very easy all the way through.  I did get tired towards the end.  But the beginnings especially were easy.

I'm 10 weeks, so far it's been a breeze! (Minus the ER visit for bleeding, that wasn't fun.) I've had sore boobs, and I've been more tired and hungry, my nose is more sensitive to smells, but that's about all. No morning sickness or nausea, no food aversions.

@cascadecherub: Oh yeah, comfort food rules in the first tri. Just eat what you can, when you can, and don't stress about it! I craved some strange things in the first tri and went with them because otherwise, I wouldn't have eaten anything! I hope you feel much better soon :)

I am only six weeks at the moment, but aside from a few little things, I never would have guessed I was pregnant. I'm a bit more tired than usual, and a little sore here and there on and off, and my boobs are just now getting pretty sore. Other than that I've had nothing.
