- Wedding: August 2014
So I am stuck at a fork and I dont know which way to go. My venue doesnt have your standard dance floor, there is an area that can be set up with speakers and an ipod, and furniture can be moved to create a dancefloor, but it is in the upstairs area near the bar and a seating area and the balconies. I had planned on just creating a playlist with some music that would last long enough for the reception to play throughout the area, a lot of our guests are older, and not into dancing, and we dont like the typical bump and grind music our generation seems to enjoy. We will be playing more Sinatra style music, maybe a few random rock songs we enjoy, but I dont want twerking at the wedding! I know we know how to dance to more classic music, and so does my family, but i dont think my friends would even know what to do!! I dont want them to be uncomfortable, which is why i was considering foregoing dancing all together. But it is our wedding, so I dont want us to not be enjoying ourselves either because we played awful music. So, did anyone do anything similar? Or just skip the dancing all together?
