YES! I saw it.... I couldn't believe it. As sad as the story was, I'm sort of glad this whole "waiting" thing has got a presence in popular culture... it's not just us waiting this long!
Grey's always gets me too!
@love108 I know, right! It totally made me think of the waiting bees! I was like EVEN ON GREY'S! lol
Wow that sounds like a serious tear-jerker. I don't watch the show but that is really, really sad!! It certainly does put things in perspective. I think sometimes we (as waiting ladies) jump to conclusions and don't give our guys time to work things out. Just remember, you never know what tomorrow will bring!
Yes!! Grey's always gets me, but I was especially tear-jerked on Thursday when this happened. Can you imagine? How horrible...
Saw and I was on the bee at the time so I thought it was so crazy. People always question me and why I don't get angry and if they were me they'd be livid etc....but that is exactly my point. You don't know what you have until it's gone and you never know when the last day you have with someone will be. I make a point to try and not sweat the small stuff bc worse things can happen. We are all happy with our boyfriends and love them, so I don't ever want to regret b!ching God forbid something like that happened. That episode was so sad to me :( that's how Greys does it though lol
@juneebee: Yes, good perspective... all those in waiting should totally watch that episode!

It was soooo sad. So one of the patients comes in bleeding or something, and his girlfriend is pitching a fit. I didn't pay attention to what she was saying, but she later told Lexie, one of the doctors, she was pissed because her boyfriend hasn't proposed after 8 years. He gave her a "cheap necklace" for valentine's day. She doesn't want that. She wants a ring!
Later, she realizes she might actually lose him. She tells Lexie she has sent ring pictures to her sisters so he can surprise her, but now she doesn't care about the ring at all. All she wants is him. She just wants him to live. She doesn't care about the ring! heartbreaking moment :(
Then, he starts coding. She's crying. The doctors try to save him, but they can't. He dies :( Of course she is absolutely heart broken and starts crying hysterically. Later, Lexie is putting away his belongings and finds the necklace he gave the girlfriend for Valentine's day. It's a locket. She opens it. Inside it, it reads: "will you marry me." ugh heart wrenching! It doesn't show if she tells the girlfriend, but it made me cry!
I have to admit, this episode put things in perspective for me a bit. I would die if anything ever happened to my SO! Well, just thought i'd share this story with you girls. If you happen to come across the grey's anatomy episode, watch it. it's a valentine's episode, so i was crying the whole time!
