This is a bit of a spin-off on that other thread asking if kids hurt or help marriages. I think I only want one child, and I’m curious whether having one kid is “easier” on a marriage than two or more. Common sense would say so, but maybe not. Additionally, does having a second child double the work, not make much difference, or increase it by more than double?
Interested in your experiences/thoughts.

Well, my answer will only be, you don’t bring a child into this world in order to save or strenghten a relationship (or avoid losing one). I don’t see why having kids would be hurtful for a couple though, when it’s what they both truly want of course. If you only wish to have one, for whatever reason you have, it is perfectly fine. It is your life, do what you believe will make you and your husband happy.

Love this spin-off! Anecdotally, I’ve heard it makes marriages way harder.
