Hey everyone, I am meeting with a stationary designer…or whatever their appropriate title is to make our invitations for us next Saturday. The fiance isnt really interested in going and I was just wondering how many of you didnt go with your fiance and if it’s normal for him to not want to go?

he didn’t go with me (until the very end when we were signing off on the proofs). he did get to review the wording. i think most guys don’t care that much about the design of the invites – just the message that is conveyed. look at it this way:you can be sure your preferences win out this way! there’s plenty else to compromise on.

I picked out a few designs online, and my man just said yay nor nay. He didn’t want to have to sift through a bunch of different ones, and didn’t have an initial opinion on what he liked until I presented him with choices.

I think invites are a total OK for the guy to cop out on. He doesn’t *really* care, I promise. Get what you like the best. I picked out what I liked, let him proof 2 or 3 styles, TRIED to explain to him how they’d look (metallic champagne cardstock with vellum overlay and ribbon, how hard is that to picture? wtf) and when he couldn’t get it, I told him no biggee and just ordered them. Small beans in the big picture.

Mr. Poodle is not really interested on our invitations “look” but he does care a lot for the content – He just said that He totally trust on my design decisions. So I think he just trust you to take charge of that 🙂
