    Hello,

I have been a pretty calm bride so far, i am officially four months away from my wedding and things are starting to come together and becoming real... i am having a formal wedding and i have started to secong guess my wedding decision.. is this normal? i am not sure that my dress will be formal enough, i need a second opinion and i love it. Also the bodice really has no detail, will the beauty of the dress (skirt) be captured in pictures?

As an fyi i am wearing a cathedral lenght mantilla veil with it.

    Please help!

Sweetie, you do NOT need to question that dress.  It is STUNNING!!!

There is no need for you to worry about it not being formal enough...I think it is perfect for a formal wedding!  And I'd say that the beauty of the skirt is definitely captured in the pictures.

It took my breath away and you've sure got the perfect body to rock that dress!

It's perfectly normal to second-guess your dress choice (I think all of us brides have done that at some point in the process), but trust me when I say that your dress is AMAZING.

    Don't freak out!

First of all, your dress is beautiful, and you look beautiful in it. I took a look at the pictures you posted, and while I think your dress would also work at a more casual wedding, I would definitely not say it is "too casual," especially with the veil you're describing.

The bodice is relatively simple, and if you think a more "ornate" look would fit your wedding vision better, you might want to pair it with large, dazzling bridal jewelry. I don't think you *need* it for you gown, but it's one option that might give you some more peace of mind and not send you back to the drawing board.

    Do NOT second guess!!

Your dress is beautiful and the skirt is gorgeous.  It accentuates your figure and you will look amazing.  Definitely formal enough, esp. with the cathedral veil.  I agree that you can always wear a little more formal jewelry if you are concerned.  I think any more detail on the dress would take away from it.

Perfect choice!  The dress is ideal - and even if it were not, the cathedral veil adds formality to it.  You knocked it out of the park!

i think most of us have either (or will either) second guess their dress.  Even though its perfect! Its pretty common to rethink it.  I did, but on wedding day I felt wonderfully perfect.  Just had some dress jitters, its a big purchase and we buy so far in advance, then we can't see it for a long time!!  Don't worry chica- its gorgeous!

I agree with other posters, that is a STUNNING dress. Jazz it up with my jewelry if you don't think it's fancy enough, but I think the simple bodice balances out that fantastic skirt nicely...if the dress had a lot going on up top and the bottom, it could be really distracting!

I agree too- that is an awesome dress!  You look FABULOUS in it!

It totally comes through in the photos.  The mantilla will be a striking addition (perfect with the flaminco-esqe vibe of the dress).

And just think- the simplicity of the bodice gives you more freedom to choose accesories because you don't have to worry about matching to the details of the dress!

Your dress is stunning, and it will definitely be formal enough with the veil you chose. It's absolutely beautiful!

Also, I think the beauty and detail of the skirt will definitely come through in pictures, since your amateur pics show it, your pro pics almost certainly will!!

What jewelry do you plan to wear with it?

YIur dress is beautiful! don't second guess it! i am in the same boat, i love my dress but constantly second guess various aspects of it (i.e., Should I have gone strapless? Is it too much lace? etc).. I think it's totally normal. But don't worry, your dress is BEAUTIFUL!

I just wanted to add, that dress is FABULOUS!  It's power lies in the shape of the dress..When a dress has a wow factor like that because of the way it's designed, its shape, it need not be heavily beaded or jewelled.

You look stunning and jaws will drop.

Who is the designer?  I love it !  Even the back of the dress is jaw dropping..

I agree - the dress looks perfect on you! I know it's easy to have second thoughts (trust me, I have), but there is a reason this is YOUR dress. It looks stunning on you. I think it will be perfect!

Wow, that dress is stunning, and looks amazing on you!  To me, the elaborate skirt very much indicates a formal wedding.  I think second guessing is normal, but don't worry -- you'll look beautiful!
