I went with my last BM today to get her dress ordered and can't help that I was duped by the salon. Let me know what you think! I feel like salons can be so shady sometimes...
Several weeks ago, I went to location salon at location A with another BM to get her measured. She is a 5'11" but when she tried on the sample dress at the salon the hem of the sample dress that they had just kissed the ground or was maybe 1/4 inch too short. The salon advised to order extra length for which they charge $40, but we decided to not to order it since the hem would be ok if she wore flats.
Now today I went to location B with another BM who is also 5'11". This salon told me that the dresses come in for 5'7" and that the dress the first BM tried on was longer than the dresses that will come in if we don't order extra length. I got really nervous about this and went ahead and paid for extra length for both girls.
However, now I think this was a bit shady. Why would the salon sample dresses be longer than the ones that come in?? Also, maybe they are for girls who are 5'7" plus a 4 inch heel which would come out to 5'11". Should I call the salon and complain? I'm not even sure I can get my 80 dollars back now.
Anyone else have tall BMs and have a similar problem??
