I had been looking online and I fell in love with the Watters and Watters Torreon dress. I don't live close to my mom (she's in Nebraska and I'm in Maryland) and waited to be home for the holidays to go dress shopping with her. I showed her the Watters dress and she loved it too. When we went dress shopping and the salon in Nebraska didn't have a sample to try on. Being particular about trying things on before I buy them I didn't feel comfortable choosing the dress.
I found another dress I liked, Pronovias, and made the purchase. 3 days later I panicked! I could tell my mom was still thinking about the other dress and I was too. I was back in Maryland and I found a salon that had it. I thought it wasn't going to look good on me but I wanted to try it on just for peace of mind. I just made a quick appointment and went alone. MISTAKE! I loved the dress. However no one was there to tell me what they thought and I'm a person who really needs people's opinions. I ended up changing my order with the other salon for the Watters dress but my mom didn't even see it on me. Do you guys think I made the right choice??? (P.S. there's a weird line on Torreon dress from the corset I was wearing).

Do you have any pictures of you in the Watters gown? I think you look amazing in the Pronovias gown!
@JoJo Bananas, I re-posted the Watters one. The file size was originally too large but the pictures are small and crappy. :(
Pronovias I like a lot better too, but what makes you feel like a bride?
I like the Pronovias alot better after seeing the pictures. There is something weird to me in the disruption of the fancy fabric in the midsection of the Watters gown.
I agree with the others, I like the Pronovias gown on you a lot more than the Watters.
okay, the pictures of the Pronovias gown look a lot nicer because of the lighting, the sample seems to fit better, but I actually like the Watters gown better, and I think it flatters you better. The Pronovias makes your bust look very uneven, the way the fabric drapes is strange.
They're both gorgeous gowns and both show off your figure very nicely, but I like the Watters better, despite the lower photo/light quality. :)
No comparison. Definitely the Pronovias. You look so beautiful in it!
I like the Pronovias more. On the Watters, I'm oddly drawn towards staring at your stomach because it's like a gap. The Pronovias draws the attention toward your face which is what you want, right?

The Watters one is pretty and unique but I like the other one a lot more.
I agree about the gap in fabric on the Watters dress, it draws my eyes to your stomach. I love the Pronovias dress. It's gorgeous.

Definitely the Pronovias; it's stylish, classy and looks great on you. I know the Watters dress gets a lot of hype on the board but personally I'm not a fan. I saw it in the stores but to me it doesn't look as good in person as it does in the ads, there's something tacky looking about the flowers and the mid-section is not flattering at all.
So wait, you ordered the Watters dress then? I think the Watters gown is very pretty, but I am also immediately drawn to the tummy area...I think if the dress was made entirely out of the floral fabric it would be my favorite. So I say the Pronovias!
I like the pronovias dress soooo much better. Personally they dont even compare, You made the right choice.
Thank you all for your comments and thank you for being honest! I actually chose the Watters gown and I don't have an option to change my dress at all so maybe it was a bad idea to do this. HAHA. I just wanted some objectivity because I've seen so many people post stuff like this. These boards are addicting!
However, I think I'm happy with it. It was all such a whirlwind trying to find a dress.
@crebre80: You're right though. It's what makes me feel like a bride and I think my choice was based on the fact that I thought the Watters gown felt more romantic.
@daydreamwanderer: My father had the same comment, he didn't like the way the Pronovias dress draped.
It's so funny because all of my bridesmaids said to choose the Watters gown. I guess I just have to do a lot of crunches if everyone's going to be looking at my abs..lol. I hope the people will look at my face and that you guys were drawn to my torso because my phone and my arms were covering it in the crappy picture. Regardless you've given me some ideas of how I can alter the Watters dress to be more flattering. Maybe if I add some flowers in the space it will be more flattering.
Did anyone else have this difficult of a decision when looking for their dress? I never got the "feeling" everyone talks about in any dresses that I tried on.
I like the watters gown. I think it shows your body off more and is more romantic. I feel like I've seen the Pro gown a million times but not the Watters!
I actually think you look much thinner in the Watters dress,and as long as you have the appropriate seamless undergarments on, it will be perfect on you. Good choice!
I just went back and looked again and you do look a lot thinner in the Watters gown, I really think you made the right choice!

The watters gown is much more romantic!!! Make a new post when your gown comes in with some better photos and you will fall in love all over again!
Then we can help with styling the dress, if your looking for some help that is.

I like the Pronovias one better but I think the Watters' looks way better on you! So don't worry... you will look stellar indeed. The Pronovias one isn't as flattering as the Watters' on your kind of body.
Ok, went back and looked at the pics. The Watters dress is more unique and will make you feel one of a kind. I said Pronovias originally because its more of your traditional bridal dress and I guess what is normally "expected". I'd love to see more pics of the Watters dress when you get it!

Congrats on finding and picking a dress you love! I said earlier I'm not a fan of the Watters but I've seen many girls here list it as their dream dress. I'm sure you'll look beautiful in it when it's altered to be just right for you, and you have better photos to show off the dress.
I think both are beautiful gowns! The Watters is definitely more unique and therefore more memorable, in my opinion...It looks great on you, so I think you made the right choice!

I love the Watters gown on you- the top is stunning and the overall look is more unique. They both look great on you though so I wouldn't be too worried either way.
I like them both equally on you. I don't think you can go wrong with either. I think the Watters Torrean is a good mix of being form fitting and romantic at the same time, which I think is sometimes hard to find in a dress. I'm sure you will be happy with it.
I really like both of them but I think what determines whether or not you made the right choice is how you feel. It sounds like you had your heart on the watters dress and having your mom there at the same time. However...You're mom saw you in some dresses and she's definitely going to see you in the end so by picking the waters dress you get the best of both worlds. ")

I prefer the Pronovias. It's like they forgot to finish the midsection of the Watters one and it looks really odd- i.m.h.o Also, I don't think the Watters dones much for your figure in comparison to the Pronovias. I would like the Watters if the midsection wasn't bare, if the pattern continued all the way through.
Okay.....wait, wait, wait......I just found a picture on Google of the Watters dress and it looks beautiful, I take back what I said.........I guess the lightining was just poor in the picture you took because in that one it looks like the fabric is sort of sheer and just a bit strange but in the picture I found it looks totally different. The dress is gorgeous, you made the right choice.
