For your theme, I’d suggest #2 or #3.  For purely flattering on you, I’d suggest #2.

I love the first one! The last one reminds me of a maternity dress

Because you’re trying to incorporate Harry Potter – I think the third seems least muggle 😉 Love how it will flow when you walk down the aisle.  I have to ask, how are you bringing Harry Potter into your theme?

Number one, by and far!! Also, I love you for having Harry Potter elements! I think dress #1 would go best with that feel, plus it looks so fun!

I tried on dress #3 the other day and I felt that the top tulle layer hid all the beautiful details underneath. I did fall in love with that beading though, so freaking pretty. The whole dress just felt like too much, you know? They tried too hard for it was the feeling I got. Beautiful? Yes. Bridal? No.

#2 is pretty too, that would be my second choice. I would completely nix #3 though.

@nneyland:  I second this! I want to know! I want to have HP in my wedding too! I want to do wand streamers at the end of the night for our exit and I reeeeealllyyyy want to have butterbeer as a drink option. (I would have a million more but FI has Jehovah’s Witness family members coming and he says we can’t over do it :/ FINE. I suppose. If I must.)

    GORGEOUS Dresses…

    Personally I like # 1 or # 3 best.

Both seem whimsical… and in a woodsy nymph GOOD KIND of way (last one makes me think of Tinkerbell for some reason… think it is the bodice shape, and the embellishment)

    All are magical for sure.

As for tears of joy… when Dress Shopping

I don’t believe that happens for every girl (as an Encore Bride, it didn’t happen for me either time)

BUT YOU WILL KNOW WHEN YOU PUT ON THE ONE

So go with your gut for sure !!

Looking forward to reading your future UPDATES

    Hope this helps,

@QueenSP11:   This is all going to be very subjective, but personally I think #1 is perfect! I think dropped waist ballgowns are so much more figure-flattering than regular ballgowns, but they still give you that romantic feeling. And I think the whimsy of the feathery skirt is perfect. And ruching is always flattering 🙂

Not everyone cries, but if you think it could benefit from a little something more, like more sparkle or adding straps, that might make it even more perfect. I’ve decided to go the custom route, but something I really want that can be added to almost any dress is removable off-the-shoulder straps, because that’s something that makes me feel like a princess but I want to be able to lift my arms up when I party at the reception. We’re going for a subtle fairytale theme for our wedding.

@QueenSP11:  I think the second one looks best on you. I love the third dress, personally, but I think its too overwhelming for your body. I just dont like the look of the first one.

@taylorkirby:  Love the butterbeer and wand ideas!  I was just sitting here trying to think up other ideas, it might be fun to try to hide little elements so that it won’t be obvious to his family.  A snitch hidden here or there, Hermione’s yule ball earrings, little things like that.

@QueenSP11:  I like both 2 and 3 on you. I am leaning more towards dress #2 so that gets my vote!

@nneyland:  Oooh, I like that. I can kinda encorporate elements into the centerpieces maybe. We can get a bunch of old keys and then tag them with wings as the seating cards!!!! Those can also double as the souvenirs! &they can be hanging off the ‘Whomping Willow’! Ahh I love this. OP WHERE ARE YOU WE ARE HAVING A DISCUSSION HERE! Fill us in with what you are doing!

#2 by far is the BEST looking one on you! Fantastic dress and I’m so not a fan of anything poofy so that’s saying something for me!

@QueenSP11: The Carissa got my vote as it’s the most flattering out of the three. I’d like to see a different shape of dress on you, that still has floatiness though to suit your theme.
