I was also between sizes and I went with the smaller of the two sizes (the size 2) and it didn’t require ANY alterations! I would get the 4!

My mom was a seamstress and she always preferred to take in rather than take out!

I was between two, went bigger, and regretted it because I lost weight!

But you have all the way until May… Does that DB honor the size exchange policy? Where you can exchange for an identical dress of a different size?

I probably would have gone with the smaller size!

@SleepyBee99:  my bust and waist measurements put me between a 2-4, and my hips between a 4-6. I ordered a 6 and altered everything down considerably. It was just fine and my dress fit me like a second skin after alterations! It’s always easier to go down than order a dress smaller and realize it won’t fit. you did the right thing 🙂

it depends on the style of the dress..I had exactly the same situatuion as you are having now..after they measured me in the store..my hips were 1/2 inch too big, while waist and bust were perfct for the size 2..My dress is a mix of an A-line and a ball gown..so this 1/2 inch didnt matter in my case…while in the fitted dress it might have been a problem. I went with a size 2…and when I received it 2 week ago it was just perfect….doesn’t need any other alterations but making it a little shorter..

Yup! It’s easier to take something in than to take it out! The last time I was measured for a BM dress my waist and bust were a 6 and my hips were a 10 so I ordered a 10. They had to take the top in quite a bit but the seamstress told me I did the right thing by ordering up!

@SleepyBee99:  So many bridal shops will tell you you’re a size bigger so that you have to pay more in alterations to bring it in.  I’d say go with the smaller size!

@SleepyBee99:  Then..in your case I would go with a bigger size for sure..cause that’s what I would’ve done…and yes..I am happy that my dress zipped on me and fits me perfectly…because I was worried for 6 months after I ordered it that it might not fit..
