So here’s my sad, pathetic little story…
Having tried on 50-60 dresses, I put a deposit down on a dress I loved yesterday… until I saw the pictures of me in it. After that I just felt a sense of dread. There was the ugly cry face and runny snot going on. I was crying until the bridal shop opened this afternoon. I went back to try the dress on again to see if I was just being crazy. I Tried it on and still didn’t like it. I was back and forth between two dresses and tried on the other one (it was the very first one I tried on) and still loved that one. So I switched dresses even though the fiance liked the one that already had the deposit down. The bridal shop was able to put the previous deposit towards the new dress and I didn’t have to pay any extra fees ! I sent pictures to my mom and FMIL and they were much more excited about the dress I switched to. I’m much happier about it too. So I think I made a good decision. But I just would like to have some feedback from you, bees, out there. Did I make a good decision??
The dress that I switched to and love. I feel great in it and I’m not immediately focusing on my flaws.
And here’s the dress I thought I loved until I saw the pictures. All I see when I’m in this dress is my less than perfect body. I felt so self conscious in it… and of course it cause me a mini emotional breakdown.

I love your new dress! It’s really classy and elegant. That being said, I don’t see a “less than perfect body” in the second one. You have a lovely figure, and nothing to feel self conscious about! Either way, you would have made the right choice 🙂

both dresses are beautiful but the one that you switched to is absolutely stunning. definitely my favorite. Good choice! Your FI will love you in anything you wear that day, I’m absolutely sure :). What’s important is that you’re happy with your decision.

You look very beautiful in both, and I’m going to assure you that you are the only one who sees those flaws!
If you feel the best in the first dress, and you love it, then that should be your dress. That’s why I picked one, but I think you look lovely no matter what you ultimately decide.

Just to be clear…I voted dress #1 meaning the first picture and not the first dress you put the deposit on….I love the one you ended up with so so much!

Dress #1, no question! It is stunning on you! Do you mind sharing the designer and style?

I didn’t vote either way, because I love both dresses! Different styles but you have a fantastic body. I understand body image issues, and I also had a certain dress in mind til I saw pics of myself…but you look great 🙂 I hope you’re happy, that’s what truly matters!

First I have to say, what flaws? You look flawless and amazing in both dresses. I honestly love both of them.

I will say that you look lovely in BOTH dresses and BOTH dresses are beautiful! My personal preference is for the second dress you chose but the most important thing is that you are comfortable and happy!

@GroovyHippieChick: I feel like my shoulders are a little broad and my arms are “fluffy.”
