My wedding is on the 1st, and we’re doing a destination wedding in Hawaii. I didn’t really give much thought that the wedding is in fall so I stuck with fun bright colors. We’re doing aqua and light lime green with a splash of Fushia and orange. I know that’s summer colors but we really wanted to have fun with it.
but after reading about all the fall wedding colors and the amount of sunlight in fall I’m starting to worry.
Should I change the colors?

I wouldn’t worry too much: it’s Hawaii, not New England! Your colors look more tropical than summer-y to me.

My wedding was on December 1 in the Florida Keys, and I used orange/green/turquoise … I think bright colors work just fine anytime of year in a beachy/tropical setting! Here are a few photos to give you an idea of the lighting (ceremony was at 5 p.m., half hour before sunset).

sounds like your colors match the location of your wedding. I am jealous because I love your color combo. I think it will look awesome together. DON’T CHANGE because they aren’t fall colors.

Your colors sound perfect for your location! I wouldn’t focus TOO much on the seasons in picking your colors if that’s not wha’s most important, ESPECIALLY since your colors are so tropical which is perfect. 🙂 I’m sure it’ll be beautiful.

I agree with PP that those colors sound great for your location.

It’s pretty much 80 degrees yer round in Hawaii so I think you’re good. When people think tropical wedding, they think of the colors you are doing. I think orange and brown with a fall leaf motif would look weird in Hawaii, even in October.

I have had doubts about our color choices as well. I think that your colors will match your location perfectly. I don’t think that while you’re in Hawaii soaking up the sunshine you’re not going to be worried about fall or fall colors. Our colors are chocolate brown and baby blue and I was so concerned because baby blue is a “spring” wedding color. I’ve just used it in small amounts to incorporate it but not have it be a focal point. If you’re really worried about it, just tone down the amount of the colors you use. I wish you luck and I’m sure your wedding will be beautiful!!
@Notyourtypicalbride: your wedding was beautiful and I am insanely jealous everyone was barefoot. I want a barefoot wedding!! Gorgeous!

You have nothing to worry about. Your colors will look beautiful for your Hawaii wedding. With the locations being tropical the colors you chose would be fine anytime of year.

Like the other bees have said, no need to worry. Your location suits the colors just fine! Enjoy!
