And fell IN LOVE with the store! Lima, an incredible employee, helped me and taught me in a matter of 10 MINUTES how to emboss and how to create envelope liners!
I purchased the supplies there for my son’s birthday party and I’ll be posting pics of my first DIY diva-ness in creating a quick invitation for his party! This is just of course, the dress rehersal for the DIY diva that’s getting ready to be unleashed ok? Get ready!
Anyway, I also spoke with Carol, the store manager (both of them are so nice!) and we’re going to try to cook-up a special event for the bees who will be attending and I’ll get to you as soon as everything is confirmed how much and what you’ll get but from what Carol said today it would be so totally worth every penny (wink wink) and maybe even a discount included in any purchase!
That place is amazing! Not only do they help you coordinate things, but they show you what will work with what texture and for my son we’re doing an olive green paper and olive green matching envelopes, lining is olive greens and muted blues and golds (river trout) for the envelopes and a mocha brown stamp of a dragonfly which will be embossed on the envelope corner and on both corners of the invitation! It’s gonna look great!
Next time I stop in, she’s gonna teach me how to make bellybands! Trust me…if I CAN DO IT so can you b/c I’m not a super crafty girl. But then again, if I can tag red or white blood cells for my patients in a lab and do over 50 different procedures, then I guess I can attempt to become a DIY Diva!
Btw, the paper source is within walking distance to Murphy’s, the site of where we will have brunch before!
I’m STOKED! Are you ready?
Tentative date is the weekend of the 19th of September, on either a saturday or sunday. Maybe sunday b/c no football games and you can recover from saturday night SEC football!
