My mom bought a beautiful mother of the bride dress. When she tried the sample on, it was snug. The woman said she could order the sample, or go one size bigger. She chose to order one size up since it’s better too big than be too tight. It took like 5 months to come in. When she went to pick it up, it was still snug. She knows she did not gain weight and is wondering why the dress is tight when she ordered one size up. We took the dress because we figured there was nothing we could really do.
Fast forward a couple weeks and we went out to find undergarments that might help alittle with her dress fitting (at another store). As my mom is trying her dress on the consultant notices the big tag on her dress that shows the color swatches for the dress. She asks if we bought a sample. When she said no, she was surprised because she said when you order a dress it shouldn’t come with the color swatch since you have already selected the color you wanted. To make it worse, the zipper has always been very hard to zip up because it gets stuck (the original store said it’s because it’s a new zipper)… and it completely broke today!
Does anyone on here know if that color swatch tag means it was a sample gown? I’m wondering if I should go back and complain because she paid full price for it and now its broken!
