We had a pretty long reception, so I had heaps of time to dance! We had an afternoon tea/cocktail style reception, which gave us plenty of opportunities to “do the rounds” and see everyone. There were maybe a couple of people out of 150 that I didn’t speak to but, overall, we were pretty successful getting around everyone!

That only took about 2 hours, then I spent the rest of the night dancing, eating, drinking, or sitting with friends and catching up. It was awesome!

Heck Yes. We made the rounds during dinner specifically so we had time to dance.

Hell yes!  We started making our rounds during dinner in between courses and after about 4 tables dinner was done, DH said omg we only have an hour left! I said F that, I’m going to dance!

Yes, we danced!! We were worried about people not dancing, so every DJ we talked to told us that if you want people at your wedding to dance, the bride and groom HAVE to dance. It’s totally true. You end up like celebraties at your wedding and people just want to be near you, so I danced a ton with my friends and to keep people on the dance floor.

HELL yes!! If guests needed me, they knew they could find me on the dancefloor. Honestly, I don’t remember leaving the dacefloor from 9:30-midnight. 🙂

Now, in order to do this, I of course didn’t eat because DH decided that we should greet guests at their tables during dinner. Oh well… I don’t regret not eating, but I’m POSITIVE I would have regretted not dancing enough!

@lealorali:  I think we had the most fun you can have at your own wedding! 🙂

No people didn’t circle around me the whole time!  Most of the time when I was dancing, I’d go up to different groups of people dancing.

@lanipapillon:  Aaah, that makes sense! Worries me though, because we do want people to dance, but I hate dancing 🙁 I guess I’ll have to suck it up…? Maybe it will magically become fun when wearing a wedding gown?

Oh hell yes we danced. I was rave-dancing, and at one point apparently my bridesmaids formed a sort of grind-hump-train on me. I did not remember this but the pictures prove it. Haha we had such a blast!

@PumpkinCheesecake:  dancing in a wedding dress is the greatest thing ever. Just make sure you have a nice strong bustle on your dress!! Nothing cramps your style quite like having a bustle fall out, haha

Yep!  We had our first dance which was awkwardly adorable and very us, lol!  We originally wanted everyone to join us mid-song but things got pushed around so we danced together for the whole song but we felt weird being watched so we did goofy stuff and it was adorable.  XD  Then I danced with my dad and then danced with everyone else =) including our special flower girl dance

I did a bit, but not as much as I usually would. I told DH to carefully monitor how much wine intake I had lol.
