I’m in my thirteenth week, and my first trimester was pretty easy in terms of morning sickness. Only got sick 2-3 times. I’ve noticed I’ve been more queasy the last week or so and threw up on the weekend. I was talking to my mom who said she was sick in the second trimester of all her pregnancies. Wondering if I’m going to be that lucky too :-/

My mom and I had different experiences with morning sickness. She only had it in the first tri and only threw up bile in the morning as soon as she woke up. Mine started as having multiple gagging episodes throughout the day off/on, then progressed to also throwing up after dinner time, and at it’s worst I threw up the bile like she had in the morning, had a couple gagging episodes in the afternoon at work, and threw up after dinner or before bed. Mine finally went away after 21 weeks.

I took after my mom: no morning sickness whatsoever. However, my poor sister did NOT: she had wretched morning sickness for about 7 or 8 months. So it wasn’t much of a predictor for her.

No, my mom was definitely sick at least a few times with my sister and with me, but my brother made her really, really sick (like, hospital sick). I didn’t throw up a single time, well not until I had some terrible stomach bug at 6 months pregnant. But no morning sickness at all, aside from a little nausea here and there.

My mother had no morning sickness and I had severe nausea and vomiting the entire pregnancy, so no! It’s not unusal to have morning sickness up to 15 or 16 or so weeks!

Nope. My mom was extremely sick throughout both of her pregnancies. My MS started almost exactly at 8 weeks, and I never threw up, I was just nauseous. I would say it was gone for the most part by about 14 weeks or so.

@awakemysoul: Nope. My mom had very minor MS while I had all out HG MS 24/7. mymom said my MS was more like my maternal grandmother’s MS because she was sick throughout her entire pregnancy for all 4 pregnancies; MS all the up to giving birth. I am not looking forward to being pregnant again.

As far as I know my Mom didn’t get sick very often, neither did I.
btw, I love your screen name, Mumford fan?

Nope, my mom was sick at night only for maybe 2-3 weeks in the first trimester. I was sick ALL day and on meds from week 7 to week 18ish.

We had nearly IDENTICAL MS!
We both had 2-3 foods that the thought of would make us gag.
We were both ULTRA nauseous, but I threw up more than she did.
And for both of us it tapered at 11 weeks and was 100% gone by 13 weeks!

I haven’t been sick once, nor did I have ANY MS (weird, right?) and neither did my mom with either of her pregnancies! She also had quick labours, so I hope I get that little perk too LOL.

Sort of, if you assume my LO is a boy (I’m Team Green)! My mom was sick for the first tri with her three girls and sick for most of her pregnancy with my brother. I was sick until week 20. I’m at 22 weeks and I’m still sometimes sick but not every day as I was before.

My mom was sick all the time, and so am I. My sister said she felt nauseous, but never threw up. I wish I was that lucky– I’ve lost 10lbs so far in my first tri because I can’t hold anythng down.

My mom said she never felt very bad during her pregnancies, and so far with this one I’ve been the same. I would feel sick if I went too long without eating, but thanks be, I never threw up, not once. Came close a few times! So I’m glad I appeared to take after her.

Nope, not even close. My mom was sick her entire pregnancy with all three of us. Me, not once. I’ve manage to keep everything down. Knock on wood. I’ll be 20 weeks tomorrow.
