I failed the 1 hour test too! They didn't tell me by how much though. I do know that my obgyn office sets the limit pretty low to make sure they catch anyone in the borderline range. I took the 3 hour test and passed just fine. Don't change how you eat too much just for the test, but try to eat healthy, drink lots of water, and avoid too many sweets.
I failed the 1 hour, too! I ended up passing the 3 hour, yet my sugar readings still remained high the rest of my pregnancy...go figure. Just do your best to eat healthy before you have to fast for the 3 hour test and take a sandwich or something to eat after because you'll need it!
I failed with a 153. I haven't taken the 3 hour yet though... wish me luck!
blah...i just failed too, with a 155. have to go back and do the 3 hour next week. dangit.
I failed the 1hr but passed the 3hr. Bring a book for that one. It's a LONG wait! Good luck to you!!
Thanks everyone! Took my 3 hour on Friday...and as predicted I was starving afterwards (thanks for the sandwich tip). The time flew by pretty quickly because my nurse was really nice.
My doctor actually had me follow a high-carb diet 3 days before the test that included candy/ice cream with every meal. He said they were trying to fully test how my body was processing sugar & carbs and needed to make sure I was actually eating those things before the test in order to tell how it was processing.
My results come in Monday...fingers crossed.

I didn't fail mine, but that's because I'm hypoglycemic (the opposite end of diabetic), so since I've already GOT one form, it's kinda impossible to have the other form at the same time. :)

So, I failed my 1-hour glucose screen (with a 144) and I have to go back and take the 3-hour test. Just wondering if anyone else has been in this position before. Did you end up passing your 3-hour after failing your 1-hour?
