wearing a ring all the time when you got your engagement ring??? I will FINALLY be getting my engagement ring tomorrow (the weather had BETTER not cause it to be late or someone WILL get hurt, lol)
anyhow…I have been wearing a cheapy ring to double check the size I ordered because I started to panic that it wouldn’t fit. I have found it really weird to get used to wearing a ring all the time and find myself taking it off all the time. I don’t want to have that feeling when I’m wearing my real ring!!!
I’m just curious if anyone else found it hard to get used to wearing a ring all the time?!

At first, yes. Then I found it hard to get used to having gotten used to it. I kept getting flashes of panic, thinking my ring fell off when I couldn’t feel it anymore. Now I can barely feel the ring (even when I try, it just feels natural), and going bare-fingered feels odd. DH said the same thing happened to him.
You’ll get used to it eventually, just leave it alone when you catch yourself playing at it. 🙂

nah. But that’s only because I like mine so much; I don’t want to take it off! I’m super excited to see you IRL pictures though!

I do. I only wear mine when leaving the house, it just feels too weird to wear at home!

I found it very uncomfortable at first and I was always knocking it against things accidentally. I’m a little more used to it now. But I wouldn’t say it’s completely comfortable.

@LincsMama: having THE ring on your finger is so much different than having A ring on. It feels different at first, but you won’t mind because if you notice it you’ll just be reminded to look down at it 😉

Not at all, but I love rings and have always worn them. My ring is very dainty though with a thin band (2mm), so I barely feel it on me. I constantly look down to make sure it’s still there!

@LincsMama: I very carefully chose a ring that would be comfortable to wear day-to-day. I didn’t have an issue getting used to it because it is so easy to wear. I actually have to remember to take it off when I do things that could damage it.

@LincsMama: it feels a little strange sometimes at first but you get used to it! Eventually your finger feels weird without it!

It was weird at first, but now it feels weird when I DON’T have it on my finger. You get used to it pretty quickly, assuming it’s the right size for your finger.

@LincsMama: I don’t wear it all the time. If your ring starts to feel uncomfortable throughout the day it’s ok to take it off. Just don’t lose it.

I am definitely in the – it feels very strange NOT to wear the thing. My ring is also naturally a little higher profile (despite being set low) just because of the cusion cut. I got very used to it, tip though is to rotate it slightly towards your middle finger if you want it to stick out less for things like gloves (less noticeable then!).

@Aquaria: Yea, I have a friend who carries her box around with her because she takes hers off so often! I just hope I get used to wearing it so that I don’t want to take it off. It’s not so much that its uncomfortable, but more that I get it caught on things and such. The good part is that my real ring should be a lot more flat than this cheapy one I’ve been wearing around.

@LincsMama: can you imagine if someone stole her purse?? they’d have her ring and the box! holy crap…she better just leave them both at home

@LincsMama: Definitely! Then when I got married, it felt weird again – so I had to get used to that. Now if I have either one off, it feels weird (sometimes I wear just my wedding band – for example, often for work and then if I am sick). I think it took a month or two to get fully used to it. I was also really paranoid at first that I would dent it or hit it and the diamond would pop out (I’m reeeally clumsy and it is insured, but STILL)
