Nope, he kept it well-hidden. But it also might have been because we do not live together.
I didnt find it but he told me he hid it in a shoe box. That would have been the last place I checked too!
Yes I found it in his suitcase when he was visiting.
I had been going online looking for vintage rings and he got the impression "somehow" that he was not going to be able to find the right ring on his own. So we went shopping. We found the right ring but we left the store without him buying it so I didn't know if he got it or when he would give it to me.
I wouldn't have looked anyway, but he proposed about a day after it came in. He told me he had plans to wait another week or so, but was too excited. I loved it and it meant that I didn't see it coming (it was a Thursday night.)
Nope, I never found it! He told me after he proposed that he had kept it hidden in his golf bag! (obviously I wouldn't look there) :)
I looked for it, but didn't find it. Found out later that he hid it in his Mom's sock drawer at her house!
Nope he never had the ring in the apartment but he had the receipt that I knew. I searched everywhere for that freaking thing! Turns out he tapped it on the bottom back half of his dresser, you not only had to take out the 2 dresser drawers but also remove a little piece of cardboard to get to it. He did an awesome job finding it but thats because he knew I'd be looking ;)
Nope, but probably only b/c he got too excited and gave it to me on the day he got it :)
i looked for almost 7 months and my girlfriends even helped me look but we never found it.
Yep, he had it in the middle console in the truck. Doh! Good thing because, shh, it wasn't my style. Was able to adjust and then be "excited" when he gave it to me. I love him so I'm happy but, man, he missed all the hints and direct "I really don't like yellow gold" comments.
I didnt find the ring per se but found photos of it at my sisters house since she helped him pick it out in HER sock drawer lol! He didnt actually bring it home till the day he proposed, and he had to have his boss drive him across town to get it since we were in the middle of the worst snowstorm in 50 years here and he has a mustang that slides in the snow :)
I didn't find the ring itself because he proposed the day it came in the mail (he ordered it offline and had it shipped to his office), but I knew exactly what was coming! He inadvertently left his gmail open on my laptop, and I suspected he had been ring shopping because he had recently asked me for a lot of specific input regarding engagement rings.
I just couldn't resist! I was just way too curious as to whether he had bought a ring, or if he was just asking me questions about what I liked again. I found the email confirmation complete with pictures and I was so excited! I didn't let him know I was on to him though, because he was set on surprising me.
He was hiding it well, but on our flight to go on vacation, I felt something hard in his pocket. I realized what it was right away but I didn't let on at all :)
I didn't find it because he kept it at work (sneaky bugger). I did find the valuation certificate under the passenger seat of his car though (he's so untidy). I didn't open it, just saw the front of the brochure and put it back. After the proposal I pretended to re-find it to make sure he would put it somewhere a bit safer :)
I tried to find it! I had a feeling he was going to propose when we went to visit his family. He left town before me, so as soon as he was out of the house I started searching. I couldn't even find a reciept, so I figured it just wasn't going to happen. But it turned out he picked up the ring on his way out of town and kept it hidden in his suitcase until the proposal!
Yes and no.
I knew it had been purchased, but wasn't sure when he would pick it up from the jeweler. I saw the receipt, and he told me, too. However, I never really looked that hard for it, and even if I had found the box, I would not have looked in it (I wanted to be honestly surprised). He took me out to dinner that night and we stopped at an ATM on the way. I was pretty sure I could see something in his pocket that was shaped like a ring box, and I was right. :)
I didn't find the ring - but I was super curious when he dropped a couple of hints! So I checked his online bank account. Bad - I know... but he gave me the password because I take care of most of our financial management. So I knew he had bought it! But I didn't go looking.
I didn't find the ring before hand. but my dad spilled the beans when he came to ask for permission, so i knew it was coming.
Oh, I pretty much turned our apt upside-down looking for that f*%ker but was unable to find it bc he had hidden it in his suitcase in our storage unit downstairs. Ironically, right after he brought it home and hid it, I announced that I was going to clean and organize our storage unit, which made him sweat, but I am a lazy asshole and never actually did it, haha!
i didnt find the ring, but i found the "bag" it came in. i found an old brown paper bag in the back of the closet one day when i was getting the basket of dirty clothes. i opened the bag (i thought it was dirty clothes from his fishing trip) and found pink tissue paper. i thought it was odd, and i figured it was from the jeweler but i thought maybe they just put his receipt and the diamond certification in there--i didn't think the ring was going to be in for another month so i never thought that he had taken it out and hidden it somewhere.
turns out that WAS the bag the ring came in, but he had hidden the ring in a fishing lure case. he knew i would NEVER find that.
he only had the ring for a day before he proposed. he kept it in a backpack. and no i didn't find it.
My fiance made up a story about working late one day, but that was the day he actually went to the jewelry store to pick out my ring. He was scared that I would find out because the store called to say my ring was in, and I looked at his phone when they called, but I'm dense and didn't put two and two together. He kept the ring at his parent's house and proposed on our 1-year anniversary. He was so casual the whole day I had no suspicions whatever. I was totally caught by surprise.
We went shopping for it before hand and he actually told me he didn't buy it and didn't know when he would. I got really dissapointed, but a month later he proposed! Even though I picked out the ring I was still suprised!! He told me he actually did buy it that day and he hid it in his dresser drawer! Since I didn't think he even bought it I never thought to look or else that's probably the first place i would have snooped for it. I'm a big snooper....
No I didn't find the ring. I didn't even think we would be getting engaged for at least 6 more months! He kept it in the attic! Good thing I NEVER go up there LOL!
Yep I found it - being nosy! He was acting very antsy the night of the proposal and I knew something was up. Found it in his luggage - but I STILL was shaky/excited/emotional when he decided to propose! It was the best night of my life!
I found the ring completely by accident. We were moving cross country and stopped for the night at my aunt +uncle's house to sleep. While we were eating dinner I said I was going to grab my cell phone and he asked if I could get his too. So I went upstairs to our room grabbed my phone but I couldn't find his anywhere. But while I was searching through his briefcase, there it was, a pretty new blue ring box. I sat and stared at it for a minute or two. Took a few deep breaths and used all my will power to not open the box. Then I went back downstairs and said "I can't find you phone. Where is it?" to which he responded back out "In the truck". So I ran out to the truck, took a few more deep breaths and worked hard to forget what I saw.
He proposed 3 weeks later. Three long weeks later. But at last I finally saw the ring and it was amazing! Then I fessed up that I found it once he proposed and asked him what took so long.
Hah I definitely looked but couldn't find it. I'm glad now that I didn't, because I would have opened up the box and ruined the surprise of seeing the ring for the first time!! He said it was hidden all over the house, and had moved it around a few times. It was in the ceiling of the basement for a long time before we started doing some renovating down there.
My FH's son found it lol... FH couldn't contain his excitement after he got it, showed it to little man, and little did he know, he was being watched as he put it back in its hiding place! The next night while he was working, his son trotted it out for me to see hehe... luckily I didn't have to wait long after that for him to propose!
