I forgot to make sure DH had his suit cleaned, he had to get married with ring around the collar - MEN.
I forgot to put safety pins in the bathroom baskets, and what was the ONE THING I needed during the reception? Safety pins. *facepalm*
I am not to my big day yet, but I have heard others say that they forgot to have their rings cleaned, and looking at mine I am also going to have the rhodium replated on the backside the week before the ceremony, want her shiny/sparkly in pictures. And I am going to make sure the women's restroom is stocked with free supplies. I have been at wedding before where I was in need, and not having anything available can wreck your evening.
I should have assigned someone to take care of my purse, change of shoes, etc. I left to do my first look with DH and when we got to the venue to take photos with the bridal party, I had to send a friend back to my hotel room to get my purse with my lipstick, etc in it. Somehow my vows and thank you speech fell out of my purse (or maybe I took them out looking for something else?!) in my hotel room and I didn't realize it until it was too late in the game! Thank goodness our officiant had a copy of my vows, but the thank you speech was a disaster. Whoopsies. I just left in such a rush, I didn't double check that my purse was packed and ready to go. Grrrr.
Oh and order lunch for you and your ladies while you're getting ready!!! And make sure there are enough wine glasses in the room for your champagne or whatever you have. I was super classy and drank mine out of a mug, LOL!!
I forgot to make a list of details I wanted my photog to capture. Since she's not a regular wedding photographer, she didn't think to get a lot of them, so I'm kind of sad that I don't have pro pics of my centerpieces, bouquet, shoes, and other little details.
I forgot to bring the place cards. There I was, printing and cutting new ones in our hotel the day before the wedding.
I've heard of a lot of brides forgetting about the seating chart. One of my girlfriend's BMs did hers the morning of the wedding. They were pissed. LOL!
This is a great thread, def adding this one to my favorites, so I won't forget these either hihi
My friend forgot her garter... we made one on the spot with a white scrunchie and some ribbon and little fake flowers! Turned out to be a cute memory :)
My trunk.
My girls and I stayed at a cottage the night before, and we didn't have time/room to take all our trunks with us to the hair salon. So my mom was going to pick them up on the way to the church so we'd have them at the church then (All my makeup, change of clothes, toiletries were in there) I did have a separate 'overnight' bag with makeup wipes, 'naughty' clothes and everything needed for our 'naughty time' that didn't leave my sight, lol!
Well, my mom forgot to grab them. Ok, she'll just get them on the way to the reception. Well, she did, but didn't take the trunk to our hotel room.
So on my wedding night, (and for the next morning when I saw all his family again) I didn't have a toothbrush, toothpaste (DH thought I was bringing it so he didn't have any, and the hotel was out), hairbrush (yeah, after wedding hair/spray/gel, that was a MESS!), I did have one change of clothes - THANK GOD or I'd have been wearing my wedding dress or negligee! No makeup or deodorant. So DH got to see me at my finest right away :)
If you've read this thread, you'll see that wasn't the worst of the day, but it didn't help!

Hi Bees,
Just wondering if there was anything you forgot to, didn't think about or wish you had thought of on your wedding day.
