Bees, I have gained 17 pounds. That’s right SEVENTEEN POUNDS since our wedding. My husband has gained 20. We used to excercise everyday, and now me and my husband just eat, watch tv, and do “the grown up”. We just started back working out, and we are determined to get back to our orginal sizes. If nothing else, so we don’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe. Are we the only shameful ones?

Yes, dammit. I’ve gained about 15 lbs – mostly in the last 3 months or so. I hate it and am working really hard this summer to get it off (luckily I am a teacher and have a bit of time off). He’s looking better than ever due to my significantly healthier cooking than he was able to conjure up during his bachelor days.

Ugh, yes, about 7 lbs. So has DH, lol. We need to get back on the ball!

No. I had started working out before the wedding and really was getting into a groove. Now I remind myself that I’m getting my body ready to one day make a baby.

@CocoLoco523: That is a great idea! I do my best when I have a goal…something to work towards. I need to remind myself to get my body ready to grow and house a human being.

Ugh, yeah. I did. Happy weight for a lot of the same reasons you said — eating together all of the time and really getting into some series on Netflix didn’t do me any favors. I’ve gotten back into an exercise routine for the past year but wish I wouldn’t have let myself slip into happy oblivion for so long!

Unfortunately yes, I have put on 7 pds and DH has put on 5 since we’ve been hitched…it’s been less than 3 months! We call it our “happy weight”. DH loves to cook (and I love to let him) and he makes the most amazing food, how we can we let it go to waste?? lol. We are starting to notice the difference in the fit of our clothes too so we are on the workout wagon.

@MrsRedPumps: At least you cauht it before it got out of hand! My husband and myself saw it happening and we did nothing to stop it. Except cok more delicious food, and discuss our expanding waistlines over dinner!!!

@Bellagiobride: I’m right there with you girl.. I was 123 lbs on my wedding day, which was almost a year ago, and now I weigh 140.

YUP. Put on 6 pounds from the honeymoon alone! 2 years later, I’m 10 pounds up and not happy about it! Sighs…sucks but oh well! I love food too much, haha!
I did but only because I got the flu the night we got home from our honeymoon and I was sick for almost two weeks. I ate nothing solid for almost 4 days, so I dropped weight. It came back slowly after I recovered though. So I guess I did but I only got back to the weight I was at on our wedding day.

Ugh, I am feeling bigger, the scale only says 2 pounds but its never consistent…but yes, I am struggling to not gain weight.
Plus, I was going to join a gym…but now we are upgrading to a nicer apartment and I will have to wait for a month or two till things die down. Sigh…
ETA: I’m still really happy about the apartment just not about postponing the gym plan. I felt the need to clarify so I don’t seem like a total brat.

yep 🙁 1 stone so far!
Trying now to loose it again as I know it can be done and I want to be skinny me again

I am right there with you. I’ve gained about 10lbs, but it feels like so much more. For some reason, I am having the hardest time losing the weight. Cuddling on the couch is just so much nicer than going for a run.

hellllll yes. actually I started gaining weight before the wedding, because I was back home for three weeks before the wedding and catching up with friends, going out all the time, eating all my favourite foods I’d been missing and not working out at all because I was staying with different people all the time.
