We had our engagement pictures taken and they turned out absolutely beautiful. I don’t regret paying extra money for them!

Nope. They aren’t really a thing in the UK.

We did and I loved them. It allowed us to get comfortable with our photographer before the wedding day. I also love having some professional pics of us where we are wearing our normal clothes vs. wedding clothes. I would highly recommend it.

We did. It was part of our package and my fiance wanted to use a picture on our StD’s. I wasn’t too impressed with ours, mostly because of the way I looked. We took them in August, it was 100 degrees with almost 100% humidity- and you could tell just by looking at me. The photographers were great and thank god for photoshop, but there are still only two or three photos that I really like from the entire session.

I wasn’t planning on doing them, but I’m so glad we did (part of our photography package).  It gave us a chance to work with our photographer before our wedding and really get to know her.  In addition, after our engagement shoot, my husband and I felt comfortable enough with her to do a boudoir shoot (also included in our photography package).

@MichiganGirl24:  I am only getting our 2 months before the wedding! My photographer doesn’t have a long turn around time, plus I won’t be using them at the wedding, so it doesn’t matter when they are done lol

We will be getting them done ! It’s a complimentary services she offers with all of her packages (:

    I don’t think so….

We had a friend take a photo of us to send out with an email engagement announcement (we live abroad so it was easiest) but we didn’t have a proper photographer and photo session.

We didn’t, fiancee felt it was a waste of money when we had really nice photos of ourselves already. We would have had to pay extra, they were not included with photographer.

Yes, but we haven’t taken them yet.  FI and I really, really want pro pics of us with our dog Chunk, in our apartment (our first home together), and basically practice time in front of the camera and with the photographer.  I wavered for a long time on whether to do e-pics or not because the cost/savings would have been significant…but I guess now is the time to splurge?  (as my budget continues its journey down the toilet…)
