The stylist is coming out to the hotel. It was free as long as we booked 6 services. I just didn’t want to have to worry about traffic on the day of the wedding.

It’s another $50 for her to come to me and she’s like 5 minutes away so I’m just going to go to her.

It was another $50 per person to have them come to my house so I went there – it was only 5 mins away so it didnt really matter

Oh no, don’t listen to your Maid/Matron of Honor. Why should you be giving rides to your stylist on your wedding day? Let your Maid/Matron of Honor give her a ride or pay for her to come to you!! I had mine come to me and trust me it was worth it. Other small things come up on your wedding day that you need to deal with. You don’t need to be dealing with rides and going everywhere. Another 50$ for your wedding will not matter trust me lol. This is your one day to be pampered, do whatever feels right for you.

I went to my stylist, but she offered to come to me. For us it was easier to go there, her salon is only like 5 min. away and she cleaned out some rooms for myself and the bridesmaids so my makeup artist did my make up there as well, for us it was the best scenario because my videographer was getting some shots of us and they need space- we didn’t have a ton of that at our house with all the girls there, plus the lighting was good and we got everything done in one place.

Coming to my house was part of the package, this way we can take cute pictures without strangers in the background!

@bells: The ONLY time I was stressed out during my wedding was while I was in the car driving to/from the hairstylist. It was a good 20-25 minutes each way, and the stress was magnified because I had a destination wedding with a lot of DIY touches that I envisioned a certain way. I felt really out of touch with all the setup going on while I was gone.

I switched hairdressers at the last minute (long story) and the salon squeezed me in, so having her come to me wasn’t an option for me. And in the end, everything was great thanks to my sisters and friends who really stepped up for me that morning. But I would absolutely have paid a little extra to have her come to me and avoid the momentary stress.

We’re having the stylist and make-up artist come to the resort. I want to be able to relax as much as possible the day of so I’d prefer to not have to worry about traffic and driving.

I say it’s your day, and whatever makes you feel the most comfortable and stress free then do it. I say it’s worth it to have your hair stylist come to you!
