Did you have a 'feeling' about the gender before you found out?

I had 2 dreams it was girl, dreamt a lot about cleaning and organizing and only could think of nice girl names for the first few months (no boy names). I had so many people guessing and I just couldn't decide what I thought. Last night I said I think it's a girl again.  Then I had several friends switch from 'boy guesses' to 'girl guesses' at the last minute.

Just as I went in to  the ultrasound to find out for sure, my mom was babysitting her only grandchild (except mine in utero)--my 5 year old nephew said " I want a girl" and the other soon to be step-grandchild said,  "My guess is that it's a girl."

And yes, as of 2 hours ago, we know SHE's a girl!! Her name is  Emi...which means Beautiful Blessing in Japanese....but now I gotta come up with a middle name. :) She was conceived in Italy so maybe Daniela.

I've always had a definite feeling one way or the other with each of my children. I just always "knew," without a doubt, if I was pregnant with a boy or girl. I'm always right, and this is my fourth baby. I've never had dreams, though, just feelings.

    Congratulations on your baby girl!

Not me.  I've gone back and forth and we're not finding out till the big day.  The majority of friends/family are on Team Pink, however.  Yea on finding out and for picking such a pretty name!

Congratulations on the latest little Weddingbee girl!  I kept dreaming it was a curly headed boy.  I was absolutely sure it would be a boy (even though I was secretly hoping for a girl).  I became excited for the possibility of a boy, and lo and behold we found out it was a girl!

    So much for intuition!

i had wished i was having a boy. I wanted one so bad! but had no intuition or feeling it was going to be a boy. THEN, we found out it was a girl. So i was totally wrong!

My husband, mother, and sister-in-law all thought it was a boy. I felt bad "choosing"--like it would somehow affect the little one if they were the sex we didn't want as much.  I started having recurring dreams where we found out it was a girl and I was disapointed--obviously woke up with guilt from that. I'm an overanalytical sort of person (you think?). :)

In any case, my husband, mother, and sister-in-law were right.  We are having a boy.  Everyone in our families and close friends has had girls in the last 5 years, so we're bucking the trend.

I have no idea what-so-ever! I thought I would be one of those people who just know, but I don't. Most people have guessed that we are having a boy, but we won't find out for another few weeks.

Congrats!!!  Beautiful name and I like the idea for the middle name!  Very pretty.

Yup.  I knew my first would be a boy and my second would be a girl.  However, here's where it gets fun: I knew my sister-in-law (my brother's wife) was having a boy first and knew my FI's sister was having twin boys.

I'm looking forward to my next pregnancy to see if I'm right again in thinking I'm having twins - a boy and girl.

Oh, and to add to the family fun: my son knew the day his sister was going to be born.  He also said I was going to have twins next - a boy and girl even before I ever mentioned the possibility to him!!!

Thanks! I'm glad you Beautiful bees like the name. :)  My mom is so glad I'm not going to be calling my baby 'it' anymore, but using he/she pronoun. Though it's hard to get used to.

I didn't really know and was guessing up until the end...just in retrospect, then things added up to --oh yah, girl, of course!

@808bride: yeah, I have a strange family.  the next pregnancy won't be till next year though.  both my kids were born even day, even month, even year... so no babies till at least 2012!!! (not that we haven't been trying ;) )

@mariavvisa I feel the same! I don't want to say "I want a boy" or "I think it is a girl" when I'm pregnant. I really would LOVE two boys but of course anything is fine :) I'm still a waiting bee as far as pregnancy goes though

from the minute i found out i was pregnant i knew it was a girl, was hoping for a boy but knew it was definetly a girl.  And when she found out she was pregnant the first thing she thought was my daughter so both of us just knew.
