I had a small clutch (for looks more than practicality) and it matched my dress. For bigger items my sister (MOH) carried in her bag which was much bigger and white so it matched my dress and the accents on hers.

Yes - had a big old white coach bag - that I already had and figured it was white. My sisters kept complaining it looked bad and taking it away and carrying it for me. I was in charge of writing checks at the end of the evening and couldn't get by with just a teensy thing.
I have a clutch, and it doesn't match anything! It was just awesome. I'm totally carrying it to the reception :) (ignore the ring- it's just in the same file)
