My dress is all slik satin (sample size was too small):
Mine is as well! I really need to get new photos of my dress - this is from the day of Running of the Brides.
That dress is GORGEOUS! You definitely have to have a fantasic body to pull it off, IMO. Go for it!

Silk is a fiber, satin is a weave. So, you could have silk satin or polyester satin. My dress was silk satin.
@ georgia bee - you are actually half right! A fabric can only be called satin if it is made from silk fiber and has a satin weave. A fabric made of any other fiber with a satin weave is technically called a sateen. :) I learned this myself only a short time ago at a work seminar and found that fact quite interesting
