- Wedding: August 2011
So my wedding is in two weeks and a half and I almost have all of my RSVPs complete. I have 9 people that haven’t confirmed but if they all attend it’ll bring my total to 142 guests. I planned everything for 150 guests so I’m glad I have that cushion.
However my question is. if a few days before the wedding the number is still at 142, should I still have 150 place settings or should i take rearrange some tables to have less table settings and more space for the people sitting there?
I’d hate for there to be empty seats and lost place settings, but I can’t help but think “what if people who RSVPd decide to show up? WHat if somebody brings a surprise guest?
We’re not doing it at a hotel or at a venue that supplies the extra seats. We have our vendors bring everything in the morning and then leave. No extra storage room where DOC can whip up an extra 5 place settings.
I’m doing assigned seating so I’d have to figure out which tables can have less place settings.
What was your experience or what are you doing?
