Any cramps? I was in your exact same boat last month, and unfortunately, it ended up being Aunt Flo. I was so disappointed. I don't have any advice, but good luck!!
@2PeasinaPod: I've had a few cramps. Nothing to really talk about though. I do feel like something weird is going on in my tummy...but, then again it could just be my paranoia.
I can't help you because I have never been pregnant ... but I can sympathize with reading into what your body does when you are ready to get pregnant ... and with the damn spotting!!
it can take a few cycles for your period to regulate itself after getting off bc. try not to get your hopes up too much until you know for sure!
Thanks ladies. From what I've read it's a pretty common thing but maybe not. I agree kitzy, that it can take a few cycles to regulate so this could just be a fling. I guess I'll just wait until I know for sure! Until then, I'm going to live life like normal.
I had implantation bleeding at the start of my pregnancy, so it definitely does happen! It was the first or second day of my missed period and I had just gotten my first positive home pregnancy test earlier that morning. There wasn't a lot of blood. We had just started to TTC just a few weeks earlier so I was convinced it was an early miscarriage or I had a false positive pregnancy test. I've had a totally healthy pregnancy so far, so it's nothing much to be concerned about!
@absolutbettie: Thank you!! I'm not due for my period for another 4 days but my bleeding started on Monday and I haven't had a lot of blood but I've had a good amount since then. Nothing like what my period is when I first begin, though.
I had implantation bleeding about 6 days after conception. Very light brown. Also had some light brown bleeding around 7 weeks which the doctor told me was leftover blood from the implantation. Both times it was a light brown, and very light in volume. Definitely nothing like a period, and nothing I had to use a tampon or even pantyliner for. What you are describing sounds like your period to me- but I could be wrong. My period was always brown first 3 days, bleeding for 2, back to brown for another 3.
from what i've read about implantation bleeding, it definitely sounds like that could be what you're experiencing - especially if you don't usually spot leading up to your period. i didn't have implantation bleeding at all (only a dip in my basal body temps and some cramping af was on the way) but it definitely sounds common.
good luck!
Thank you both! It lasted from Monday to today and I haven't had any yet this morning. I'll see if it starts up any today but if not then I might consider the bleeding as implantation bleeding. We'll see! I will definitely let yall know an answer once I know.
I had implantation bleeding, but I wouldn't really call it bleeding, so much as a little pickish brown on the toilet paper when I wiped (sorry if TMI). Like MissBooBoo said, nothing I would have used a liner or tampon for, so this sounds more like a period to me. Hope you get your wish!
I blead the night I got pregnant a little bit but not much and that was it. It was also RIGHT before my actual period so I actually had a period after I was pregnant so I didn't think anything of it until I was late the next month. It could go either way. I hope its from a baby though!
I had this with my second child. I thought I was pregnant and then I got what I thought was my period. Life went on, the next month rolls around, come to find out I really was pregnant.
What you're describing happened to me last month. my husband and I did the deed every other day, my period was super late, and I had really light spotting for about 4 days. It got heavier and turns out it was my period:(
Something like this happened to me, so I went my OB/GYN, it turns out it was a chemical pregnancy in my case :( Hopefully you will be luckier!
no implantation bleeding here, but my friend did with both of her pregnancies
Yes, I bled lightly for 4-5 days. It was like a shorter, lighter period. I actually thought that I wasn't pregnant because I confused the bleeding with my period. Not everybody has implantation bleeding, though.

Hey bee's! I have a question. I got off birth control in September & me and my husband have been TTC. Well, this month I thought for sure I was pregnant because we had sex almost every other day. I've never had the problem on not ovulating so I'm sure I am. Anyways - I watched my period last month & my cycle was 32 days long, and the month before that I'm not SURE exactly, but it was around 32 days as well.
So, my period is supposed to be due the 12th of this month, or that's what I was planning for. That would be 32 days. On Monday though I started getting a light brown discharge and it continued to Tuesday as spotting and I even saw a little bit of light pink. I've done some research and have found out that this can be implantation bleeding. I took a First Response Pregnancy Test and it came back negative. I was thinking since it was 5 days until my period that it wouldn't come back positive, but who knows.
Anyways - NOW I have a dark brown discharge (not red) that is a little bit heavier so I had to put a tampon in for the day. It's not insanely heavy but it was too much to go without a tampon. So - my question is, could this still be implantation? Or is this probably my period?
I will take any advice. Thank you guys so much!
