Sooooo, we did NOT end up having sex on our wedding night. True story: we got to the hotel room, we were so tired, DH got in bed, then I got in bed after I brushed my teeth, nudged him, asked him if he wanted to "do it" (I really said that!) and DH drunkenly looked at me with one eye half opened, said nope! (he really said that!), rolled over, fell asleep and started snoring. So romantic huh?! It wasn't funny then, (hey it was our wedding night, wasn't it supposed to be candles and roses and champagne and chocolate covered strawberries??) but we laugh about it now. So, out of curiousity, did you or didn't you? Was it romantic, not romantic, drunk, sober?? Any funny details like ours?
Yup, we did. We had just finished lugging all our stuff up to our hotel room and looking around the suite (our wedding planner got us an upgrade). I started to unzip my dress, and like a shot, DH appeared behind me and whispered, "Let me help you with that..." And the rest is history ;)
LOL I'm glad I'm not alone in this one. We got to our hotel room around 1am, had to hurry up and get our cards opened and everything that was going back to our house to my parents room. We finally crawled into bed around 2am and had to be back up at 6am to catch a plane to Jamaica...so no...it didn't happen. No biggie though. We had plenty of time for that once we got to Jamaica.
We didn't either! We are both not drinkers at all, but figured we'd party it up on our wedding night. DH started throwing up the second we got back to our hotel room, and didn't stop until mid-day the following afternoon! I drank more than him and was FINE. Ha. A wedding night to remember for SURE! My mom got me out of my dress, I cleaned the entire hotel room and ate a slice of pizza on the couch by myself!
Yes we did, but damn...not our finest work.
We got back to our suite at around 3:00am, and soaked in the jacuzzi because my feet hurt SO bad. We ended up doing it just to say that we did.
We were sooooo tired when we got back to our suite, only to find that DH's groomsmen had piled ALL of the furniture in the suite on top of the bed. Chairs, lamps, tables, a sleeper sofa, luggage racks, stools, a traffic cone...
So we lugged all the furniture off of the bed, still wearing our wedding clothes, and....
I voted yes. :)
No!! Haha, DH had a few too many (we were up past 2....) and fell asleep on the couch in our suite! :/ booo.... but he made up for it in the morning ;)
We did; we did not get drunk in order to be able to do it; I didn't buy that lingerie for nothing!! Seriously though, it was important for us to do it on our wedding night adn the experience was really special (even if we had done it before)
We didn't. I asked him.. but he was waaaay too drunk. I think that's the first time he has ever turned it down! Haha! Oh well!

Great thread! I'm not married yet, but we've already joked about it. I have a feeling that we're going to be EXHAUSTED but going to do it anyway just out of obligation (lol, @Lindsay12.31.2010 "just to say we did").
@mhackney21: Awww. This is one more reason why we are not going to get drunk on the wedding night.
@kaylee26: Just for the record, I did NOT get drunk on our wedding night! :)
I was completely sober! I didn't even finish a whole glass of wine. So that's why I remember all the details of how DH drunkenly turned me down haha.
@Juliepants: I honestly don't think either one of us was really feeling it - we had a LOT to drink and I hadn't eaten since the rehearsal dinner, but I didn't want to not do it. You only get one chance! So happy we did!
We did, but it was really drunk and neither of us really remember it!

Yes of course we did! It was our wedding night and we weren't not going to do it! However it wasn't the best ever. We got back to our hotel around 1:30 AM and ordered room service. After pigging out I changed out of my dress and then after we had sex we just passed out!!
yep and it was awesooooome! we got in at like 11:30 though and weren't drunk. weehoo!

ETA: LOL about the second one too!
Oh yeah. But it was still relatively early in the night, and we were both only tipsy. And we both brought our A-Game ;)
I do need to add that we partied until 4 am. And got to our hotel room at around 4:30 am, so it was unrealistic to think at that point ANY sex would be good!!

We did. I was exhausted to say the least. But my husband said "Its our first night married!" & I was ready to go! haha After that we went to sleep & slept sooo good!
We was both sober, btw!
After waiting almost 2 years, we weren't interested in waiting any longer. We had a morning wedding for a reason.

nope, we got up at 5am, did 2 scuba dives, got married, went out for another 2 scuba dives, got back for a shower, dinner, went to bed and i said "do you want to have sex" he said "do i have to" and i said "thank god no, im TIRED!" and we went to sleep

Wow I'm surprised at how many didn't! Our reception was over at 11pm, and everyone else from our wedding went out and partied, but we went up to our Penthouse Suite:) Aaaaaand, yeah. We did it.
