Haha, hope it was fun!
I only had a bridal shower instead of a bachelorette, but either way strippers were off limits for me. I have a "no strippers ever" rule for DH so I have to abide by my own code.
Dear GOD I hope not! I've been to a male strip club more than once for other events. It's not my cup of tea.
haha, my best friend surprised me with a stripper for my 18th birthday. It was so awkward and gross and he asked for my number after he was done doing his thing. Never again. lol
Hahahaha! I'm not sure if I'll have a stipper or not. My bachelorette party will be a complete surprise. I've been to see stippers a few times, and am not bothered by them, but I don't think I'd want one ginding all over me. Yuck.
I'm kinda hesitant to say this since I'm probably the minority, but I want one!! And my girls know it haha. I've never been to a strip club or even seen a stripper in person... but I must say, I feel like the Bachelorette Party is the one-time event to do it!! I dont want to get completely rubbed down or anything, I just think it would be fun. I would prefer going to a male review instead of having a private stripper because I know that can make for some very awkard moments! But yeah, I wanna let loose and have fun!
FI on the other hand wants nothing to do with strippers on his night, either way I dont mind because I love and trust him. But I imagine it will be a calm night with the boys, he isn quite the outgoing social butterfly like me. I guess opposites do attract!
I didnt have one - Ive never seen a male stripper and imagine it would be totally awkward for me! Plus, FI did not go to a strip club during his bachelor-binger (5 days in Vegas) SO therefore if i had strippers I would have felt like it was betraying him somewhat.
My party was 2 weeks ago. We didn't have one. In fact, they were thinking about getting one but they were afraid it would be awkward for me! I'm glad they didn't do it!
Nope, we didn't have any because I specifically requested that there not be any.
We're going to a strip club for my bachelorette party. A couple girls going to my party have been to this club before and the guys touch and its OK to touch them. I've only been to female strip clubs so I'm used to no touching. It's funny, all of the posts on WB about "oh no what if a stripper touches my FI?" and its really the male strippers that are all dirty and groping!

And the FI, he just wants to go camping. . . really. . . hahaha I told him whatever floats his boat :)
Oh, the "cops" totally showed up at my bachelorette party. It was HILARIOUS. His music was bad and he smelled weird (my friend said, "like a stripper is supposed to!") and it was HILARIOUS. I couldn't stop laughing, no matter how up in my face he was
I had my party in Vegas and we did go to a strip club that had males on top and females on the bottom floor. All I can say is I didn't know what to expect but it was one of the most fun nights of my life! All the girl with me agreed, it was just SO hilarious and they did allow touching but it was all in good fun. We thought the guys were going to be cheesy and gross but we were pleasantly surprised. If you're in Vegas go to the Olympic Gardens!

Nope, my girls and I aren't into that stuff... we enjoyed spending our time drinking, sunbathing, swimming, eating, and dancing instead!
I told my BM's I didn't want a bachelorette party. I can party anytime and if I really wanted to look at naked boys (other than my own), the internet is always available. I prefer to relax, eat and drink at a spa with them.

And that sounds just like my FI, he would probably love a bachelor camping trip. To each their own I suppose!

Early on in our engagement I had told FI I didn't care what he did for his bachelor party as long as no strippers came to wherever he was staying. Stripclub fine, but that's it! So when the stripper showed up I immediately felt guilty but I mean at that point what was I supposed to do? Anyway that striper was beyond scandalous, I seriously thought all they did was dance around and flex their pecks for you lol but OMG was I wrong. Those pictures are going to haunt me forever! Anyway so now I feel guilty about FI but now more than ever I am sure that I don't want him to have a private stripper. If she ends up being like the male stripper they will seriously do anything for a tip! FI doesn't really want a strpper or anything but he did say it was unfair how I told him he couldn't have one and then I had one. I so agree with him! I hate double standards, but I really think it's different for girls and guys. I mean yes a man was dancing for me but seriously it was just hilarious nothing hot or sexy about it....a guy on the other hand is way more visual and let's be honest naked girls are pretty hot!
I've heard there's a huge difference between male/female strippers. Males are much more scandolous.

So you hate double standards but say this? My fiance finds female strippers funny and he thinks it's rather gross. Not any different than what I think of male strippers. I think some people in this thread are really writing off men to be a little more simple-minded than they really are!
I've been to two kinds of male stripper shows for bachlorette parties
1) was of the variety show kind (eg chippendales/thunder down under), which is def more cheesey and amusing than 'sexy' It's a good raucous time with the girls go, and the boys don't get down to full nudity. Which is key I think. The full nudity kind of freaks me out.
2) someone hired someone from a company that came to the house. Ala. dressed up as a cop with a jukebox. (and this was in 2005) It was suppose to be just down to the g-string-but ooooh no. Wobbly bits all over the place. And then THEN after the show he put on a robe and tried to hang out. And chat like he hadn't just done a really really akward show. Ew.
So if I was going to have one, I'd prefer one of the male revue shows. Those guys are professionals and I don't have to worry about steam cleaning my couch afterwards. Plus they are covered up where it counts, and that's much more attractive to me. I don't need to be seeing that stuff.
This is so interesting! I just read a thread about how ladies hate the thought of their FI attending a strip club; and here we are, in a new thread, girls talking about how fun male strippers can be! (and yes, of course I realize the posters are not necessarily the same people)
It doesn't interest me at all. My friend had one, it was sorta funny. They just ended up dancing together and being silly.
We didn't, but I think it would've been fun to go to a Thunder-from-Down-Under type place. But since I was so so soooooo against my husband having strippers involved with his party, it seemed hypocritical to do it myself :)
