I pointed out about half a dozen rings that I liked. DH took down the names of them all. I left it up to him as to which one he chose. He’s a smart man, and actually picked out the one I liked the most. .hehe 🙂

I picked out my ring also….the jewelry store I worked at was going out of business and they had a ring come in that the price was too good to pass up. We had been talking about getting married, so I mentioned the ring to him and he bought it.

I picked mine out – he begged me to. He was afraid of making such a large purchase without my imput. I would have been happy to let him do it though!

Yes, I kind of fell in love with mine when I found it and heavily hinted to FI about it. Luckily, he liked it too. Smile

Nope! He picked it out himself. We looked at rings together and he had a general idea of what things I like/hate, but he did the picking. I love my ring – he did an amazing job! The jeweler told me he spent a lot of time choosing the perfect one <3

I picked mine out. From the stone to the setting…that’s why it’s pretty funny when people say “he did [good]” lol I just smile and nod in agreement but mostly amusement. He soaks up the compliments as if he could have picked out something so awesome 🙂

When someone asks for your help, give it to him. lol

Sort of.  I inherited a wedding set from my grandmother (it was my great-grandmother’s too).  Once we started talking engagement, I made it known to him that that ring was in my parents’ safe and I loved it.  He sneakily arranged a handoff with them, and they were totally thrilled to give it to him.

I shopped for it and picked it, which is actually what we do for most gifts. He doesn’t want to risk getting something I won’t even like, and I’m really good at shopping & finding things. I spent a lot of time e-ring browsing & I’m glad I did because I found the one I like the most, and it was also the cheapest one on my list!

Yep. He asked and wanted to pick it together. We were out of town so after he asked, we shopped online and then went to the jewellers and got it. I’m still in love!

We picked out mine together and it was a wierd experience for me. I don’t have it yet, but I know that the proposal is comming withen 6 months (latest), possibly next month.

I love the original design that we picked out, but I love the changes that he has made to it more. I am a bit sad that it has to be considered a custom order due to the alternatate metel request (Platinum instead of White Gold…yay Nickel allergies). It means that the sale is final, and no changes can be made afterwards (we had to estimate my ring size since it does not match a standard size).

I will post the final pictures after the proposal.

Sort of.  Picked out about 6 rings at a couple of different jewelry stores and gave FI the names of the jewelers I talked to.  I went shopping with a girlfriend just to get an idea of what kind of rings I liked since my now FI and I had started talking about getting married.  I didn’t realize that some jewelers will create a file for you so when your SO comes in, he can see what you were browsing (engagement rings and other jewelry!).

FI went to the jewelery store, bought one of the rings I liked and did a surprise proposal a couple of months later!
