Neither I nor my FH have facebook – we both have opted out of this form of social media. <br>
When I went dress shopping, my mom and sister apparently posted pictures of me in my dress on facebook – I told them to remove them immediately.
They didn’t understand why I didn’t want pictures of me in my dress on facebook even though my FH doesn’t have facebook. I want my guests to be surprised when they see me on my wedding day.
Did you post pictures of your dress on facebook, tumblr, twitter, etc.? Or would you be pissed if someone did that to you?

No, I did not. And yes, I would be.

I would be upset if someone posted a photo of me in my dres before our wedding… Its a surprise to everyone including my groom. Just incase some one showed him the photo if they saw it on facebook.

I don’t have a Facebook either but I would be beyond pissed if someone posted pictures of me in my dress on Facebook. I’m against posting anything about my wedding online and even though I brainstorm on Pinterest, I don’t actually post pictures of any of my final choices anywhere online. My wedding details don’t belong on social media so they can be dissected by stranger and frenemies.

@kateisstoned: I would absolutely be pissed if someone did that and I am ALL OVER Facebook & twitter.

OMG THAT IS SO RUDE!!!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE THEY THINKING!! It’s not their business to post those pix to begin with!
Yes, I’d be pissed. WHAT in the WORLD.

@novacaineandlaughter: This is why I am SUPER excited about the “secret” boards on Pinterest now! I have one for *my* wedding ideas (as opposed to just “cute wedding ideas”) and another for presents I plan to buy/make for my friends (many of whom are also on pinterest). I use the third as needed for party planning. 🙂

@kateisstoned: what in the world made them think it would be okay to give the general public a peek?! I would be mortified and upset! The dress is the bride’s best kept secret only to be revealed to those she trusts most deeply!
I’m so sorry this happened to you… shame on them!

My Mom posted pics of me in some of the reject dresses, but DEFINITELY not my dress!

@kateisstoned: Really? Really? They didn’t understand why you would be upset? I have never heard of anyone posting their wedding dress online before their wedding. Crazy.
@novacaineandlaughter: Totally agree 100% with you. Facebook statuses, photos, anything … Pinterest just for generating ideas and having aplace to keep track of many ideas.

I have posted a few dresses that didn’t make the cut on Instagram, but my dress will not be in FB until the big day..

I haven’t posted anything on Facebook or Tumblr. My MOH posted a photo, but it was a cropped photo of just my face after I picked the dress. FH and I, as well as a chunk of our guests, are on Facebook and I don’t want my dress circulating around before the wedding.

Don’t have fb anymore but wouldn’t post my wedding dress, bm or fg dress if I did have one. And I’d flip if someone else did!
