@secretbee33:  This thread totally made me laugh. I’ve seen sooooo many horribly awkward “first kisses” and “first kiss” pics! We didn’t practice, but I definitely think it’s worth practicing! You could even have someone take a picture so you know what you want to do with your arms, etc. Here’s mine:)

hisgirl10: Those examples!!

secretbee33: We plan to practice (totally his idea) closer to the wedding. I think it makes sense when you really think about it. You may be nervous or out of your element, so if you practiced it will at least reduce the odds of a kiss going wrong. Plus, it will give you lots to giggle about right before the moment.

We meant to practice, but totally forgot (amazing how bride brain makes you forget so much!). It turned out fine though, and I kinda like that it was just natural.

I think our conversation only went as far as to say “ew no it’s totally gross to use tongue and make out in front of everyone”. Then we just kissed when the time came.

We practiced, and when it came down to it I did not even think about what we practiced at all. It all went by so quickly, I barely remember it. But this is what it turned out looking like. Not bad I do not think.

We didn’t plan to practice but a few days before we were out to dinner with friends and they asked us, how are you going to kiss?? And made us practice the length so it was short and sweet but long enough for the photographers! I think our engagement shoot helped with timing too! It was perfect!!

OMG we didn’t because he didn’t want to and I told him we should….here’s the real first kiss:

here’s what our photo books and facebook consider the first kiss:

And here’s me laughing at the wet disgustingness he gave me, him laughing because I was right and the pastor in shock:

so yeah….PRACTICE

We didn’t practice.  But neither of us are big PDA people, so it was an automatic given that it wouldn’t be a long drawn out smooch!
