Ugh. how terrible for the families. I feel like people who commit these kinds of crimes MUST be mentally deficient in some way... how else could they be so terrible?
I'm glad that this guy is going to be behind bars. I just can't fathom what goes through your mind when you kill someone. It sickens me. These two poor girls who had their whole lives ahead of them are now gone. You're right Corgi - there has to be a screw or two loose in order for them to have a mind like this to not have any remorse over killing someone.
He's pretty creepy. I heard that the Flores girl was killed on the 5 year anniversary fo the Holloway girl's death? If that's true, it makes me wonder if he has killed other girls.
He's a sick guy, I hope they lock him away for good. Those poor families and how they must be feeling. Knowing that if they would have locked him away the first time then he could not have hurt anyone else. Sad
@Angela83- I read that too in the paper that he did it 5 years to the day. So I wonder too if there are other's we haven't learned about.
I bet he's done this other times too. What a sociopath...so glad he's in jail now.
Ugh! He sickens me! I wish they could have arrested him for Natalie's murder 5 years ago! But at least they have him now.
I was just reading on CNN.com that the Peruvian justice systen often gives a lighter sentence in cases where the suspect confesses to the crime. I hope not in this case!!!
SO SAD!!! I can't believe they let him go the 1st time.. Disgusting! I can't stand to look at his face.
The Peruvian police probably had some "effective" methods for getting him to confess, and I'm glad for that, after that slimy b*stard changed his story several times for the killing in Aruba and was never held accountable. Too bad his dad's not alive anymore and can't see the monster he created by buying his way out of jail the first time. If he had been locked up then, this poor girl's murder could have been prevented.
I hope he finally tells the poor family of the first girl what he did with her body so they can finally get some closure.
I read that he had confessed also. I also read that his dad used to be a judge in Aruba and died back in February---wonder if there was a coverup to prevent his conviction in the death of Natalie maybe? Just a thought. So sad though for both girls and the fact that it happened exactly five years apart---now that is bizarre! I hope both families can find closure...bless their hearts. :(
You can rest assured that these two murders weren't the first ones. I truly believe that he is a serial killer and that there is no telling how high his bodycount truly is.
I have a feeling that his confession was “helped along” – however, I’m sure he is guilty. It seemed (from the details released), like he didn’t even bother to try to cover up the crime – which took place in a hotel room rented *to him*. That takes some b*lls, but after he got away with murder one time, I’m sure he felt like he was above the law.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he has raped/murdered other women. He certainly seems to have a sense of entitlement when it comes to women – and with a father who helped him evade murder charges (at least) one time – it’s not surprising he would feel that way. Yuck.
this is soooooooo crazy....too coincidental...he doesn't even seem freaked as he leaves the hotel room...calm...if you "accidentally" killed someone, I don't htink you would act like that

I can't believe he confesed to the murder in Peru. The paper said that he told police he killed her because she was using his computer and that there was private information about the Holloway Case. I'm glad that he confesed to this one and hope that they can now get the full evidence on the Holloway case they need.
May both of these girls RIP, and pray for their families.
