i was wondering the same thing! mom and sis said it wasn't necessary, but we could do it if we had extra invitations. we did however, send them our extra STDs and they loved the fact that we included them!
we didn't (it's not customary to send one), but i think sending one to your photographer may get them to photograph it.

Oh! That's a good idea for the photographer! I hadn't thought of that. I might send my extra STDs to some choice vendors... the photographer, the officient, and the florist.
Good idea, Mrs. Bee! I'm certainly slaving over them enough to warrant a pro pic or two.
Our photographer has it in her contract to send her an invite. I thought it was a wonderful idea!
I'm not sending them to my vendors, but I will bring one to the wedding so my photog/videog can document them!
I sent one to our officiant (family friend) and photographer (Mr. SR's uncle); as for the other vendors, I did not send invitations.
I think I'm going to send one to our photographers, but that's probably it. But then again, I have 11 months, I have no clue! :) Sorry I'm no help!
Our photographer was a good friend who would have been invited to the wedding anyway, so he got one. We had a few extras, so we sent one to our reception site-it's a local microbrewery and I knew they would get a kick out of it because we had a photo of ourselves drinking their beer included. 
I was trying to figure out the same thing! I sent one to the officiant. I was told it was customary to send one, but I did not send to any other vendors. I think I will mail one to the photog. It's a great idea!

We're working on our address list, and this quetstion just occurred to me. Should we send invitations to any of our vendors?
