My older sister asked for my blog website address. I haven’t answered her yet mostly because I am seriously debating it. I talk about a lot of details and ideas and I really don’t want everyone in the family to know everything that’s going on that weekend. Also I kind of don’t want to open the door for drama. My older sister and my aunts are already disappointed that it’s not going to be in a church with the traditional hotel ballroom/banquet hall reception. My younger sister has already shared her feelings about why it’s not going to be in our hometown. And my mother seems to think you can have a huge wedding blowout for $1000 complete with centerpieces, sit down dinner, DJ, photographer, favors, and dress. O_O I think she still thinks it’s 1970 when she got married.
So did you share your wedding blog with your family and friends? How did that turn out?
Also, I wrote about the horrible inappropriate dress my FI mother wore to his little brother’s wedding. lol

I have not purposefully shared it with any family member’s except for my sister, who is totally supportive and drama free. I sometimes link to it on facebook, but I think I am going to stop doing that. Honestly, I’d rather have only strangers read it than people I know in real life! I don’t want to hear opinions that I don’t specifically ask for

Yes, I share it with my family and friends, but I have since I started writing it, so it is already ‘edited’. And my family is pretty drama-free.
I do think though, that if your sister knows you have a blog, she will find it eventually, if she wants to, so you might as well prepare for that to happen 🙂

I did share at first but then my blog turned into something i really enjoyed so i changed my blog name so family member’s couldn’t get on it. With tumblr you can change your name and it’s almost as if it’s a new blog. I never really cared what people thought but it seems as though in reference to your wedding and life the family always has an opinion even when it’s not wanted. Just keep it to yourself and save yourself the headache 🙂
