Did you (or do you plan on showing) show your fiancee your dress once you got it?
I have mine now in my closet and I wanna show him so bad but trying not to give into temptation so it will be a total surprise!

nope dont plan on showing it till the day we get married

@kateisstoned: Well we are still thinking about doing a first look, but in the end we will probably decide against it. A big reason is that we only have the church for 3 hours, and that does not give us much time before the ceremony to do a first look.

He won’t see it until the day of the wedding, he doesn’t want to see it. He has had me give him hints but its 100% different than what I showed him I first wanted.

My dress hasn’t arrived yet (last-minute I know!), but FI won’t see it until I’m walking down the aisle. He wants it to be a surprise:)

Nope! No first look either. It kills me not to show him because I tell him everything. I did show him a picture of me in a dress I vetoed though (and thank goodness I said no because he didn’t like it!).

my FI is incredibly traditional, he requested not seeing it before the actual ceremony.
I love this part of him, however I was ok with him seeing it when I got it , so we compromised and are doing a first look 🙂
Its been very difficult not to show him or tell him anything, I have dropped a few hints about it here and there, he knows its not a mermaid, he suggested I go with something other than that because he says I can show off my curves anyday lol

Really did not want him to see it, but I gave in yesterday. Lol. It’ll look different on me when it’s altered, my hair/makeup’s done, and He will probabaly forget by next year. He begged me and I coudnt say no!

I showed him a photo of the dress back when I was trying on different ones. He’s picking my dress up from the shop today, so he’ll get to see it then too 🙂
We’re also doing all our photos before the ceremony, so he’ll see me then, too. I don’t see the point in keeping it secret from him, and I’ve really enjoyed showing him and it was good to get his “approval” on the dress.

We had mine custom made to be a mix between two dresses so he’s only seen me in pieces of it (the skirt from one, top from another) and the drawings… It just arrived yesterday and I’m trying to hard to not show him, I had to make an alterations appointment asap. The longer that thing sits in my closet the more tempted I am to play dress up with him!
Kinda hard to keep it a secret since we’re doing a DW in Cancun are with only 4 other people…

I showed him a pic of me in it, but only briefly and he was drunk. He cried but then didn’t remember the next day.

- Wedding: August 2012 - W Hotel Silicon Valley
He had no idea what my dress looked like, or even the style, until I walked down the aisle on our wedding day! It was fun having him guess what he though it might look like (and be horribly wrong)!

He hasnt seen the dress and doesnt want to know anything about it until im walking down the aisle 🙂 I think its sweet and traditional that way and i know he will be totally blown away

He hasn’t seen it and won’t until the wedding. I do want to do a first look though. I figure that it will calm my nerves a little more if we get to see each other for a bit before the ceremony. He really wants to see it, but this is the only tradition I want to keep.

before dress shopping, I showed him about 20 pictures of dresses I liked to get his opinions. The one I loved was tea length and champagne in color so I wanted to make sure he didn’t have strong opinions against either of those.
All he knows is that I had a favorite in that group of 20 and that I ended get buying the favorite. who is ADAMANT that he not see me until I walk down the aisle.
