    So ladies,

I'm a little weird. Laughing My husband and I have been together almost 11 years, 9 of those living together. We have never purchased a Christmas tree per my request. We have what we dub our "Charlie Brown" Christmas Tree. It's a tabletop one that leans heavily to one side. But it belonged to his maternal grandmother so I love it because of that. My husband has asked me numerous times if I want to buy a bigger tree. But I want our first tree to be our baby's first christmas!!! I'll never throw the Charlie Brown out though! Smile

So I am stoked to buy our first Christmas Tree at the end of this season (clearance baby!) for our baby's first Christmas next year!!

    Anyone else??

And my husband is deathly allergic to pine so no real trees for us. :(

    Yup!!

We actually have a Christmas tree (a fake one, I don't understand cutting real trees for decoration, but that's another topic); but never put it up because it's too much trouble and we usually celebrate Christmas out of our house. But we always said we'd start putting it up once we have children, so this year, with our brand new baby, we'll put up the Christmas tree for the first time! (and host Christmas dinners with family and friends because I'll be recovering from delivery and would rather be home than go out all the time).

    Nope!

We celebrated our first Christmas in our apartment last year, no engagement (till that morning anywat), no babies, but definitely a tree! FI and I are unsure about kids though, so if we had waited for a baby we might never have gotten one.

WHAT? No way am I depriving myself of a tree for years while we wait on a baby. Ours is only like 5 feet tall but thats just because we don't have the space for a tall tree yet.

I have a small tree (about 3 feet) because I was living in apartments for a few years, but I always put it up, even when I wasn't in a relationship! I love decorating for the holiday!

No, my DH is a big Christmas guy. He puts it up every year. It definitely will be a little bit more special when we have kids though.

hahahaha. Maybe because I had our Charlie Brown tree I was OK without a bigger tree. But yeah....I LOVE decorating for the holidays as well so I'm super stoked for our first real Christmas tree next year!

I buy us a new fancy ornament each year for the tree so can't wait to add a Baby's First Christmas ornament next year!

No way!  I didn't buy one last year and I missed it soooo much!  I am definitely getting a tree this year and we won't have any babies for a few more years.

Nonsense I tell, the tree is for meeeee!

I bought one the first year I got my first place. I have a pre-lit fake one because its so much easier.

God no, it's one of my favorite parts of Christmas! We bought a small tree last year because we are living in an apartment (3-4 feet or so) but just enough to use all my ornaments and satisfy my Christmas crazy :)

Plus, every year we buy each other an ornament about the previous year (like last year was "our first married christmas", the year before his was "engaged christmas" while mine was "cross-country road trip"), and it would make me sad not to display them for ourselves every year.

    @MrsWrangler:

Love it! I do the same thing with the ornament. We buy a new one each year that's a splurge. Our wedding one was our DIY Ring Bowls! :) We have now a nice assortment of 10. Hm. Maybe this year I can find a preggo/expecting one.

@lefeymw: Pre lit trees are the best invention ever

@regberadaisy: You blew my mind a little haha. We do the same thing with ornaments each year. I'm currently searching for an "Our First Christmas" ornament

We have a small tree for our apartment that some years gets put out, some years it doesn't.  We're never home for Christmas though, we travel to be with our families.  If we were actually here for Christmas then it would be put out for sure.

When we get a house, it will get put up unless we're gone all of December!

No way I love Xmas! And there's a good chance we won't ever had kids, so I might be waiting a long time.  I had one from when I had my own apartment, and then my stuff was in storage so I convinced FI to buy one.  Now that we live together we have two.  They aren't huge but 6.5 and 7 feet respectively.  I like it because we can have multiple color schemes.

Hallmark always has really nice ornaments! And I love their packaging for when it's time to put decorations away.

we get one every year! no babies yet...it makes the home so comfortable and we have a great time picking it out and decorating it together - i think this year we are going to drive to the mountains and cut down our own instead of picking it out at a lot.

@regberadaisy: Lol, nope. I grew up experiencing my dad FREAKING OUT about how awesome Christmas was. I have a small 4ft tree for our tiny loft, a Charlie Brown tree my sister gave me, and a smaller table top tree I got from my MIL.

No. My husband & I love Christmas! We celebrated our first Christmas in our own home last year & we put our tree the first week of November from being so excited!

Its a fake tree. We are buying a bigger one this year. Our tree ast year was 5-6 foot. We are buying a 7 foot one this year that is also wider.

Lol, my husband bought his artificial tree our freshman year in college!  So we celebrated with that one for a number of years.  :)

Once we moved to a forested area, we ditched the fake tree and now we cut down our own.  I love our tradition of cutting down our own tree the day after Thanksgiving!  It really makes me feel like the holiday season has started, then!

Teehee...my husband and I already have two BIG Christmas trees each year (they are fake, and yes we live in an apartment so it does look like Santa threw-up everywhere).  But we LOVE decorating for Chrismas!  My husband has always wanted a train set to go around our trees, so we might do that this year as well.  :)

Oh we got a tree the first Christmas we lived together! DH didn't really want to because we would be spending Christmas day with our families at their homes but I insisted. It just doesn't feel completely like Christmas without a tree :)

No, we got our tree when we got our house. For our housewarming party we had all of our friends to each bring us an ornament to decorate the (then) bare tree. It was awesome!

@beekiss:  Lol, cats are a lot harder than babies.  We can just put the baby gate up around the tree to keep our daughter out, but she's not very good at jumping over things yet.  ;)

Shoot, I bought my pre-lit Christmas tree the first year I was out of my parents's house and on my own! I've had the tree longer than I've known my FI!

We are big on Christmas and have always had a real tree since moving in together. Our current place has vaulted ceilings so I opt for a 9-10 foot tree which is amazing.

FI and I have a small (maybe 2ft tall?) fake tree with fiber optic lights in the needles. Very nerdy and cute, if I do say so myself. It works for us, we can put it up away from our cats and decorate it with some ornaments. We're not having kids, so it's all for us.

Heck no!! FI and I get a tree every year!! We love decorating it and we even wrap our gifts for each other and put them under the tree.

    We are such dorks.

This is our first Christmas with a kitty though so I'm unsure if we are going to get one...

Oh nooo, definitely not.  We bought a Christmas tree the first Christmas we were together.  (We weren't living together, but I was spending weekend at his place).  And it was nice putting up the tree and stuff together.

I'm not pregnant or expecting to get pregnant anytime soon. Once me and my FI get our own place we are buying a christmas tree! I'm not waiting for a baby. I love the holidays and I love decorating the tree! It's my favorite part of the holidays! Every year we buy several ornaments a year (several meaning like 20...okay so I go a little crazy!!!) so that when we get our own tree it'll be completely full. Whenever we travel somewhere we pick up ornaments too so that we can remember our vacations and times traveled.

We're Jewish, so no tree for us anyway. But I'm actually finding myself not wanting to do holiday decorations as much as normal now that a baby is here. Normally I go all out decorating but I'm just so tired now, and it's just a lot harder to get things done. Plus, I feel like she doesn't have a clue anyway. I figure when she gets a little older, starts understanding, and starts participating and helping me, I'll start decorating again.

    Ummm no way!

I've had a tree every year of my life.  Single, married, children, no children.  Doesn't matter.
