If so how was it? Weird? Unnerving? This is my second wedding so I would feel a bit strange being escorted or given away but I can imagine I would be a complete bundle of nerves if I did it alone and I would probably end running up the aisle instead of walking slowly.

@Penelopeee: I walked alone. But Ihad 7 guests so it wasn’t that stressful. LOL. It was #2 for me too

@Penelopeee: I *had* been planning to walk alone, since my dad is deceased, but now the plan is to walk together 🙂

My dad isn’t in the picture to walk me down the aisle. And the person I called dad most of my young adult life passed away.
My children (22 and 9) will be walking me down the aisle. I wanted them in the wedding but I didn’t want them in traditional roles like Maid/Matron of Honor or Ring Bearer. So this makes them feel special and also lets them give their consent to my soon to be husband that’s he A-okay lol

I walked myself and it felt just fine to me. I was focused on my then Fiance waiting for me.
That was all that mattered

I walked alone and thought it would be really hard for me. I was super anxious before it was time to walk, I honestly thought I was going to faint but I didn’t. It was fine, I didn’t feel weird at all! I just looked at my husband and walked to him.

I walked alone and it went fine. Since we had been together a while and I’m in my mid-30s, my dad didn’t seem to mind. (I had debated both parents walking me up the aisle, but decided to go it solo.)

I’m walking with my Fiance.

This was a second wedding for both my husband and I and we processed in together (Episcopal service). He loved it and it was wonderful to go to the altar together.
