@bluemeaway: I’ve browsed (even today at the mall!) but I’ve decided not to change until the end of the night when we leave for our honeymoon (don’t want to worry about storing the dress in a cabin!). I figure, I spent a lot of time, effort, and money on this dress, and I’ll never wear it again. I’m wearing allllll day 🙂

I had to change because we were leaving for our cruise in the morning after our wedding and our car was packed so no room for my ball gown in the car. My grandmother took it home for me so I had a ‘leaving dress’ but I wore it for about the last 45 minutes of the reception because I got so hot from dancing.
the dress had a built in pearl necklace looking thing that was actually the halter top to keep the dress up so I didn’t have to add jewelry or anything… just took my wedding dress off and changed my shoes and that was it. I was so happy to be able to change. I got so hot dancing in my gown and it was super light and airy up until that point. I got the dress at Boscovs and the bolero at Macys.

I am planning on having two dresses simply because my mother did twenty-five years ago, so I wanted to make it a tradition. Maybe it sounds silly. But I do see a practical side to it. For the church, I’ll definitely have something princess like and full/big but for the reception, something more maintainable/ fitting and easy to dance in. I looooove to dance.
The second dress is stunning enough that all eyes will still be on me (not to be vein or anything), you know what I mean?
