Im putting Forever Yours in French on my FIs band if that helps! (I'm French!)
I would have done the initials and date thing but writng something in Spanish would be cool ( thinking of the french inscription)
It's only $45 dollars at the jewelers I'm going to. I think I might do "You're my everything". He always uses that phrase with me. I'm still debating on whether to put the date too?
DH and I have Song of Solomon 6:3 in hebrew in each of our rings. DH wanted a bible verse and thought it would work since I started taking Biblical Hebrew classes when we started dating (started up again after the wedding).
We were going to have both our rings engraved, but we didn't end up having it done.
ETA: I forgot to say what we ere going to have engraved! Mine was going to say "Lunch?" and his was going to say "Yes!"
We've used IWALY since high school for I Will Always Love You. So I got that engraved on his wring, as well as the date.
We used the last line of our favorite poem:

My ring says: in heaven, too...
And his says: ...you will have my hand.
yeah on mine its going to say "when i saw you i fell in love" and on his " I smiled because i knew." I cant find who actually said that qoute.. but it suits us. He can still remember the first time he saw me and I just smiled back at him.. lol
so hopefully it will fit on the rings lol!!!
I am having his engraved with "I'll always be your girl" From the movie Forrest Gump.
A couple of years ago I was having some low self esteem issues and in an email I asked him why he loved me. His reply....
Jenny Curran: Why are you so good to me?
Forrest Gump: You're my girl!
Jenny Curran: [pause] I'll always be your girl.
This has such a special meaning to me and I hope to him as well.
I still haven't decided if I am going to tell him or surprise him. I like the idea of a surprise but I also really want my ring to have "You're my girl" inscribed in it. I just don't think he will think of it on his own.
We aren't getting ours engraved, but maybe in the future as an anniversary type thing. For his, not mine. I have no desire to engrave mine haha
I would like to, but I'm concerned it will void any kind of warrante on a tungsten band (thoughts?)
We joked around about having "PUT IT BACK ON!" engraved in it :)
We're just goofy like that.
If we do it I think I would like to put "grow old with me?" on his. I would let him choose what to put on mine. I really like The Wedding Singer.
I'm having "Property of RMH-H 21-04-12" inside his and we're having "Proud owner of GAH-H 21-04-12" inside mine. I used to write "Property of Special Sundae" on his back before we lived together and he loved it, so it's going in our rings.

Did you/Are you getting his ring engraved? If so, what message are you having engraved?
I'm having my FI's wedding band engraved, but I don't know what to put on it. I asked him if he wanted a specific message, and he said to surprise him. I want to think of the most touching thing, but I'm not very good at that kind of stuff.
Any suggestions?
