I was visiting my venue this weekend and discussing how the processional would work and I realized I’m not sure if the wedding party should stand the whole time or not. The ceremony is non-denominational, so will probably only be 20-25 minutes. If the whole party doesn’t stand, do just the honor attendants?

I would at least have the honor attendants because you’ll need your MOH. My ceremony was about that length and they stood the whole time. I did allow my flower girls to go sit with a family member seated on the front pew at the far end of the aisle.

Everyone stood for us. It was pretty short (about a half hour), so it just made sense I thought. Plus, I feel like that’s what they’re there for, to stand with you!

Our ceremony was about 20 minutes and everyone stood the entire time. If you are having children in your wedding I would let them sit down.

Everyone stood for ours. Our ceremony was about 15 minutes so it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Thanks everyone :). The only wedding I’ve been in was Catholic (and on the longer side) so the bride had a us sit. For the life of me, I couldn’t remember the way it worked at other weddings I attended.
I do like the way it’ll look in pictures to have them standing. We’ll have our flower girl sit with her parents.
