I've heard that same thing from multiple bridal shops. Then, the online place we ended up going with said that that is very rare, but it COULD happen. We ordered all of ours at the same time just to be sure.
I'd just order them all from the same place to save yourself from a possible issue. I went with a chain location to make it easier for all the scattered BM's and it's been fine.
We made our BM dresses from like, 9 different bolts of fabric, that all came from different shops in st louis
they all looked the same.
I am in the same boat, my BMs are all over the country and bridal shops have been telling me that I should order dresses from the same store to ensure same dye lot. One of my BMs told me about her sister's experience - she let her BMs order their own dresses and turns out that the colors were so different that she couldn't let her BMs wear them. I think also the qulity of the designers might also play a role. I am avoiding headache so I am going to order them from the same place.
Also, I don't think it's that much more complicated to order from one place and have them shipped the dresses to the girls each individually.
I'm having all of my bridesmaids order their dresses from the one store I'm buying my dress from. They can have them shipped and this way it avoids having multiple orders/different dyes and ensure the dresses come in at the same time! Plus they get a discount if they order from the store.
Girl do i feel you about the price.. I was going around the price subject for weeks.. I really did not want them to pay $200 dollars for a dress but it was a perfect dress for my BM's.. I had to tell them through a text..lol..One of them was Ok with the price the other one said I will go buy a dress at Ross.. really.. come on now.. But once she tried it on.. she kind of went along with the price.. phew.. We ordered them all at the same place just to avoid the shipping problem etc..
yes, some online offer customer made dress in any color any size.
maybe you can try to do .
I wouldn't chance it. Designers run out of things, certain fabrics/dyes are discontinued. I would have the girls try the dress on locally if they can find it and have their local shop measure them then you take their measurements to your bridal shop and place the order. Have you're girls call in with they payment information.
All four of the dresses I ordered were the same. I did one mass order so they would come from the same dye lot. However, it may just be our memories, but we could have sworn the sample we tried on was WAY darker than what arrived.

Hi bees!
I am finally getting through ordering bridesmaid dresses (still feels weird to tell my friends to buy a $200 dress). I have been told to order them all at one time from one place so that there is not a color variation, but then I have also heard that this really isn't true. My bridesmaids live in CA, AZ, NY and OH, so ordering them somewhere locally for them would be much easier I think. Does anyone have experience with this?
