I called the doctors office to see if my results have come in and they have but they will not tell me the results over the phone, I have to go in tomorrow evening to have a look.
I have not ever had sex but I have been very put off by the smells of food, they make me want to vomit and I have very bad nausea all day for the past 3 days . I know I’m stupid to think I could be pregnant because I have never done the deed but why else would I be put off by smells? Cooking meat makes my stomach turn.
I had the blood test because of the nausea not just because I thought I was pregnant but now it is playing on my mind.
If there is some way that i am pregnant, would they have called if it was positive?

Was the blood test to check for a pregnancy?
I used to be paranoid when I was younger about getting pregnant before I’d actually had sex but done other stuff with a partner, but if as you say you’ve never actually had sex so there is nearly 100% chance that your not pregnant. A lot of things can make you feel sick, not just morning sickness.
From the look of your previously posted messages, you do sound young and by your own admission you’re on the pill, so I wouldn’t fret about a possible pregancy just yet.
The recall to the doctors may simply explain the results and to find out why you thought you might be pregnant.

When I was on the birthcontrol pill, I got nauseated by smells BIG TIME.
More than pregnancy can mess up your sense of smell.
And lots of places here wont give the results to ANY type of test over the phone, positive or negative.
Good luck. I hope you get some answers, but I doubt your preggers if you’re not having sex.

I highly highly highly doubt you’re pregnant unless you were involved in some other activities that resulted in semen getting close to or in your vagina. And I would have to assume they would tell you if it was positive instead of making you wait just in case you planned on going for drinks after work or something, they’d want to make sure you didn’t put your baby in danger.
You probably have an imbalance of some other sort that the doctor would like to discuss and possibly treat. I wouldn’t worry about it, everytime they refuse to give me results over the phone it ends up being something silly like my iron levels are low.

Not to check for pregnancy, it was to test if I am intolerant to glucose and lactose but i have recently come off the pill 6 days ago because while I was on it I felt extremley nauseous and now that I am off it I feel worse.
If I am not pregnant is there any idea why I am so sensitive to smells?

@AwkwardQuestions: Both being on the pill or coming off the pill can cause pregnancy like symptoms.
Like I said above, when I was on the pill, I had awful scent issues. I got sick walking by the olive cart in the deli lol

@AwkwardQuestions – When I quit the pill, I had a lot of symptoms. I had more symptoms, both in number and intensity, from stopping the pill than I’ve had my entire pregnancy (due next month). And they didn’t come all at once, it was over about a month’s time. One week my boobs were sore and I was sensitive to smells, the next week or so I was so fatigued I could barely walk from my car to the office, etc.

Thank you for your responses!
I asked my family doctor and she was puzzled and my second doctor who conducted the blood test on Saturday was confused by my sense of smell aswell.
Food still tastes good but the sight and smell of it is AWFUL.
Could a stomach virus cause this sense of smell and nausea?
I had my period two weeks ago and then stopped my pill 2 weeks after that because it was causing so much angst. I got my period 3 days after I stopped the pill and currently have my period now.

I have never had this issue before during my period, I am usually the hungriest person alive.
How long will it take to calm down if it is hormones?
