None, actually! I only asked him if he likes big, poofy ball gowns and he said nope! Which is good, because I chose a very fitted mermaid gown 🙂

No, none. He just said I’d look beautiful in any dress so I didn’t really have much to go off in regard to what he would prefer. Though he also pointed to a dress in a magazine and said, “ugh I really don’t like that” and it happened to be super similar to my dress. Luckily on our wedding day he seemed to actually like mine 😛

Some I guess… he had ideas of what he didnt like but then realized that he didnt know what he was talking about lol he watched a few episodes of Say Yes to the Dress with me so I knew we had similar taste.

He didn’t see it until the first look. I love my husband, but as my fashion sense trumps his :), there wasn’t any reason to ask for his opinion. (Plus, I bought a sample dress the first day I went shopping, so only my MOH had any input.)

@vintagebride143:  We watched SYTTD several times so I could get a feel for the type of dress he liked.  My intention was to get something of that sort – but I ended up falling head over heels in love with another style.  lol  I meant well.  😉

He usually likes how I dress myself, so I just picked something I felt beautiful in. I have no idea what he would like or wouldn’t like…I never asked. :p

We went dress shopping together and he helped me make the final decision!

@vintagebride143:  None really.  But, he did tell me that he hates veils.  I took that into consideration and went veil free (I didn’t really want one either, so it worked out).

Some. Because we’re both women and we’re both wearing dresses, we wanted to see each others dresses to make sure that they didn’t clash. We still picked what we wanted, but the other got to be there and give input about whether the dresses (she bought hers at the first place we went, it took me longer to find mine) went together.

I will say, though, that when I came out in my dress and her jaw hit the floor, I knew I’d picked the right one.

I really want to make this a surprise for him. I’m not letting my SO know anything about my dress, but he continues to say, “I can’t wait to see you in your wedding dress, you’re going to look so beautiful.” He’s so sweet.

Some. I already knew that I didn’t want a traditional gown but he was the one who pointed to a photo of a red dress by Veluz Reyes and said “That’s what your dress should look like”. And while it won’t look exactly the same, the photo has wielded a bit of influence on the design I ended up going with.

@vintagebride143:  none at all! He said he just wanted me to be happy. He is Spanish so I got a mermaid lace dress that had a very Spanishy pattern, but that was nothing he requested.

Honesly I bought the dress that I felt amazing in. I wasn’t really thinking about my husband until I was making the decision and then I realized that he would really appreciate the fact that it hugged me (trumpet) and was strapless (he has a strange love affair with my shoulders). My second dress was my ultimate dream dress and I didn’t think about him at all.
