I have my hair trial this weekend and my fiance will be around when I get home. Should I try to hide it from him? Like, put my hair in a ponytail after?
It was actually a good thing because hedidn't like it (I had my doubts myself). I would rather know that he prefers my hair down on a trial rather than the big day. Also, if you're doing a hair trial, you want to test how long the style lasts. You can't do that if you put it in a ponytail.
Eh, not a big deal, I think. I showed my FI after my hair trial. But don't put it in a ponytail. You'll need to see how well the style stays in/holds up for a few hours.
He was actually there with me at the trial...he was impressed at how many different things my lady was capable of doing to my hair with just bobby pins! It was quite amusing actually. We went to take our E-pics after my trial so we could see how the makeup looked in person and in pics...I didn't think it was a big deal that he was there...but I did feel bad for having him sit around fo r3 hours! =)
Yes.. he saw it. And I'm glad I didn't wash it out, or change it because it lasted for only a couple of hours and then was flatter than a pancake. I went for another trial with the same lady the next week after telling her my hair went flat. Her response was "I didn't use any product in your hair" (huh!?! what was the point of that??) Week #2 was just as bad and this time she was trying harder!
I finally went to a different salon and she did a great job. The trial style actually lasted all night and on our wedding day, it lasted through until the next morning! (we stayed up all night) So make sure you really test out your hairdo.
I am so surprised that everyone let him see it! I didn't....I can't remember where he went....I think I made him go visit his mom. But I got mine done, then went shopping, then went home and tried the dress and veil on together, and I had also had my makeup done. I felt like seeing any part of how I would look would kind of ruin it? He also didn't want to see it. I did however show him several ideas of what I wanted, because I had always wanted to wear my hair down, and at some point he said he wanted me to wear it up....anyway, I was all about keeping everythign a secret from him ; )
I had my hair and makeup trial done on the same day (for my boudoir photos so that I could see how they looked when photographed). My FI saw and even commented that he couldn't wait to see how it all looked together on our wedding day. That being said, he has seen my hair worn the way I will be for the wedding (for several formal events over the years) and my makeup was not too far off from the way I usually do it (which was what I wanted). I think it's hard to go wrong either way, but it's a choice you have to make:)
Mine saw it. In fact, he came with me to the salon and got his "wedding haircut" while I got mine styled (it was a long day of wedding errands, so I had to drag him along and we made it worthwhile by adding his haircut at the last minute).
Anyway, I'm glad he came! He actually helped decide which style was fancy but still looked like me. And, I was relieved to be sure that the style I went with was one he thought was also great.
Mine will see it as well when I get home. I don't think its too big of a deal because its totally different seeing you the day of the wedding in your dress and all complete to become their wife!
I'm having it done, photographed then the gal is going to change it up so that I don't look like that when I get home. I know it's not really a boig deal - but I don't want him to see it.
Mine saw, I am really glad, I had it done in a beautiful updo but in the end I wasnt sure if I looked enough like me...like the girl he fell in love with--so I asked, for his honest opinion and he said he loved it.
I was actually thinking about this the other day! I really want to see how the hairstyle will hold up, but I also don't want to let him see too much! We'll see. Thanks for the thoughts!
a friend of ours is doing my hair and he came over to her house towards the end of my trial so he saw it...i didn't mind and we both loved it so it was great...
yes - i scheduled the trial for his birthday (so i had great hair for our fancy date). it was good to leave it in, as others have mentioned, to see how it holds up. :)

Or is this not a big deal?
