I guess ours would be technically considered more of a "mini-moon". We went to a resort a few hours away for a few days after our wedding. We got married on Saturday and went away Mon-Thurs.
We're going to do a teeny little "mini-moon" right after our wedding by staying a few more days at the hotel. We had planned to do our actual honeymoon (country-hopping through Europe) around September (our wedding is in February) because I thought I will have graduated by May or June, but as it turns out my dissertation is taking longer than expected and now it seems I won't be able to defend until December, so right now we're thinking that we'll probably have to move the honeymoon to Spring 2011, which would put it close or shortly after our one-year anniversary.
I would have preferred to honeymoon within a few months of the wedding, but oh well, gotta put more time on the dissertation if I want to graduate in 2010. Also, by honeymooning after I'm finished with everything I'll be able to enjoy myself more. Otherwise I'd probably spend too much time worrying about schoolwork and that doesn't sound like a fun honeymoon!
We... will be moving right after our honeymoon, to a new city, where Mr. KM will start school. So. No honeymoon til the next summer while we get our bearings.
We left the very next day. We spent four days in Seattle, and it was awesome!
Two honeymoons...a mini-moon 3 day local resort getaway immediatley after the March wedding. Then the full honeymoon getwaway after we have our U.S. receptions in May.
We're leaving the Tuesday after our Saturday wedding to go on a European cruise! We'll be gone 16 days.
No idea really - hopefully a mini moon after the Canadian wedding? But so many factors are working against us.
I hope to have a real honeymoon within the year--b/c i fit doesn't happen this year, it won't happen for 2 more years :-(. We have to go back to school pretty soon after the wedding, so hopefully during one of his breaks (winter or spring) we will be able to get away for a real honeymoon--definitely somewhere out of the country!!
Lanai mini moon for 2 nights then Venice/Paris in the Spring when the weather warms up
We still haven't gone on a honeymoon. Money and time off is an issue for us. We are hoping to go on a trip in May.
At this point, we are planning on honeymooning right after the wedding, barring a big change of plans!
we will have a 3 day get away the week after the wedding, and our real honeymoon in 4-5 months in the summer.
We're planning our honeymoon directly (like next day) following our wedding. It's just the easiet for me, because I will have just finished Grad School and can afford to take a month off, finally!
We definitely went on a honeymoon! When we sat down and broke down our budget, we allocated money to our honeymoon first and used most of the remaining money for the wedding itself. For us, we wanted to start our marriage with a getaway and bonding time (and were able to use our vacation days). The wedding was fun, and I'm glad we didn't spend drop a fortune on just one day. :P

I know of a lot of people that got married and didn't honeymoon, or did but like a year later. What about you?
