Just got the call saying I didn’t get the job. I am so upset, in floods of tears, but it’s my hen night tonight! I just don’t know if I can face partying after hearing these news right now…there’s no way I can cancel now, it’s all been pre-booked and my hens are all raring to go. What can I do?

Chin up sweetie. There will be other jobs, but there can be only one hen party. Don’t let this get to you and ruin your night. What good will it do?? Nothing!! Nothing will change so I say go and enjoy your evening!!

I agree! Go out and enjoy the night for what it is. There are and will be other jobs out there. I am so sorry to hear that you did not get it. But! Have a fun night out with your girls and try not to let it get you down. I don’t know what you have planned, but maybe you will meet someone who just so happens to be in a position to reccommend the perfect job for you. 🙂

I agree with Jazz and dearmissie. Things will work out and what better way to let off steam than to go out and party with your girls tonight? Do something today that you know will get your mind off of it so you will be ready to party tonight!

On the plus side – you have closure! It’s the worst to never hear back! You’ll keep applying, and finding positions that fit you, and you’ll get another job!
Besides, what’s more fun than going out with an L plate on? It’s the perfect remedy to cheer you up!

I totally get you – 2 days before my party, FH was laid off. But, the party was very therapeutic – nothing better than partying with your best girlfriends and having delicious cocktails to cure the bad-news-blues!
Get all your crying out now, then do your hair and makeup and party the night away. You’ll probably feel awful tomorrow because you’ll probably overindulge tonight. And if you cry at your party, that’s okay because it’s your party and you’ll cry if you want to

Go out and enjoy yourself. Let your friends help you through this time. I just faced something similar and it really helps to have other things going on.
Good luck with the job search!

I’m sorry to hear you didn’t get the job, but go out and enjoy yourself!! It will take your mind off of it! I know exactly where you’re coming from though… I’ve been trying to find a new job for months, and am still searching. So best of luck in the future, it will work out for the best!!

I’m so sorry you didn’t get the job. I will say this. I was unemployed until just recently. Starting a new job a few weeks before the wedding has been more stressful than anything I could imagine. So maybe this is a blessing in disguise and after your wedding you’ll find an awesome job!

I’m sorry you didn’t get the job. I’m sure that you will find something though so buck up and have fun with your girls!

Thank all you Bees for the brilliant advice – scraped myself off the floor to my hair trial and then out with the girls for a night of cocktails, Karaoke and cheesy dancing. It was so much fun and I feel lots better now about not getting the job! :).
