So. I’m taking the GMAT on Saturday… I haven’t really studied… went to take a practice test last night… there was so much geometry I wanted to cry… I would totally lose “Are you smarter than a 5th grader”
First of all, why do I need to know geometry to get a Masters in Business??
If any Bees have taken it…am I up a creek without a paddle?
I guess I can always retake it…

Yikes. I haven’t taken it, but my roommate has. She got the “Ace the GMAT in 2 weeks” book and studied like hell for 2 days. She did well enough to get in though, so I guess it worked.

I took it. I didn’t study a WINK for it. I took the practice exams and got bent over, basically.
For the actual exam, I did just fine. I did slightly below “average” for the school i wanted to get into, but I got accepted into Kelley’s program at Indiana Univeresity, which is ranked #6 for public universities for MBA programs.
Long story short, I wouldn’t stress too much. I haven’t taken geometry in YEARS, and I’m an engineer, quite sufficient in things like calculus and my score in the math area was relatively embarassing =].
I think if you can rock the english/essay portions, that is better in the long run that geometry, based on my personal experience.
I specifically remember one question about if two sides of a triangle are the same, is it an isoseles, equilatera, or the other type of triangle, and i remember thinking, WHO CARES.
Anyways, good luck! I thought I would’ve aced the GMAT if I’d taken it, you know, in high school, back when that stuff was fresh =]

Because I’m going part time… a lot of the programs around don’t even require it… but I wanted to cover all my bases… I could choose one that doesn’t require it if I do terrible! Eek!
I need that book! Haha!
Thanks @ejs4y8!! That really makes me feel better!!! I’m very good at writing/english!!!
