Our ring bearer is 7, I am definitely having him carry our rings. I think you should be safe with the box, as long as they are tied up tightly! I would have him give it to the best man once he finishes his walk down the aisle. :) Beautiful Box!
Well, my ring bearer was all of 13 months so he just carried a pillow and the BM/MOH had our rings. Good thing too because he was just getting into the "throwing everything" stage and actually threw the ring pillow once he got to the front of the church at DH's grandma.
Our RB was my 7 year old cousin and he held the real rings. He had his box all day but we didn’t give him the rings until right before the ceremony. I tied a piece of brightly colored ribbon loosely around them so if he were to trip or something, they’d be easy to find (we got married on the lawn of our venue so finding something tiny in grass may have been a disaster). When it was time to give our officient (also my cousin) the rings, he just walked up, opened the box, she grabbed the rings and closed the box and he walked back to his spot. He was seriously like the cutest thing ever!
Our ring boy is 5. I trust him but he is going to carry fake rings and my MOH and my FI best man will have our rings. In my MOH's wedding I had her husbands band on my thumb until it was time for the rings. It worked out fine.
Our ring bearer did not carry the real rings. Our best man carried them in his pocket.
there was no "OTHER" our pillow my mother and my self made. we have added antique Key & Heart....no rings!

How does this work? My ring bearer just turned 3 and he will be carring a cute box with rings tied inside. Should he carry the real rings or am I supposed to put fake ones in there.
I love the box and what it says on the inside so I want our real rings in there.
What does he do after? Give the box to the best man or hold on to it until they are needed?
